The first one is one everyone has taken, but its a snapshot. I use one similar on my sites.

#2 would be better if it were a true macro. Otherwise, I'm really not sure what you are going for.

#3....snapshot again. I've done it too, and do it every time I have new gear.

#4 has some potential. Shouldn't have cut the bottom off of it though.

Some randos from Christmas, didn't have a tripod or super fast lens unfortunately.

i like it, good seperation on the darks and good angle to imply the interaction between the elements and the trucks. IE the tree lining up with the roof column

I was under the impression that its a polaroid peel, or negative removal of some sort.

I'm not sure if it's the Nikon. But I think it is due to the ability to have more control with shadows. I just went ahead and messed with an old 5dii file with this way of processing and it looks about the same. So probably with a new camera I changed the way I process things. Though, it's not that new. . .I've had it since July.

Basically all I do in LR is take up shadows and blacks to almost 100, then I up contrast to 60-100. Then I adjust exposure to taste. Then I take down highlights/whites for taste. Then in the curves I add in highlights to taste, and adjust shadows a smidge. I up the clarity a little bit.

Since the contrast changes skin tone/look of some colors I go in and usually desaturate reds, oranges, yellows and sometimes blues to taste. Then I'll throw in a little warming on the highlights and a bit cool on the shadows in cross-process dept. and I'm good to go.

Hmm interesting... would be curious to see the work flow. Love that last shot, and the colors and tones really are fantastic.
