Now I'm running an axe with a xsv bolt and recommended settings and ill be set at 160 psi and shoot 295 293 295 with a freak and a 679 insert

Ill shoot a few ropes and then at the same 160 psi I'm now shooting 260/265/263

I have the crank the pressure but the same thing happens. Shoot a few ropes and back to the 260s.

Could this be the solenoid?

I want to say it could be the battery but it lights up green when I turn it on.

If it is the solenoid, you'll be able to tell without air.

I had a bad solenoid once, when I shot it with no air the first click was more feint than the rest. It was similar to fsdo. Unfortunately the ****bags that sold it to me as new didn't think I would notice the stripped screws on top of it. So there was no way I could take it apart. If not, I'm in a similar situation right now and it's probably the reg.

Let me elaborate on my bad solenoid advice. It took a couple trigger pulls to even get the solenoid to click and the first couple were real feint. So if you're not hearing erratic solenoid clicks before or after you're pulling the trigger, rule that out.

Haha anyway! Ok. I did notice my solenoid sounded a little funny. As if the first shot was a little louder and the rest got slightly more feint. Ill try it out as soon as I'm home Friday.

Barrel break? I've had my FPS drop off dramatically with a single barrel break on a tight bore.

I had my solenoid go bad just this Saturday. I was on the field and air started dumping like crazy. I thought I had blown some rings but it wasn't the case.

With the eyes off and no air, the Axe wouldn't do a damn thing. Changed out the solenoid and worked like a charm.

I knew something wasn't right at the start of the day's play. My velocity was all over the place. No reason since I was shooting within +/- 5 fps last outing.

I bet it's going out on you as well.

My local field swapped it out for one of theirs and didn't charge me a dime. Said Empire would credit them. Props to Classic Paintball in Lithia Springs, GA for great customer service.

I hope that's the problem. I've gotten to the point where just finding the problem will make me feel better.

The only other thing it could possibly be is a stuck poppet or that the poppet is sealing properly. Try taking it out. Check the oring and lube it properly. Male sure the face of it is dry.

See the thing is that I lube my poppit every week. I just don't get it. I'm going to PEVS tmrw to buy a new solenoid and see if that solves the problem. I have tryouts this weekend in Florida so waiting for kee isn't an option. Although I must say they have FANTASTIC CS.

I just got a new axe and I'm having the first couple feint clicks then the normal clicks problem I cleaned the solenoid, reset it, new battery and it still acts up any body can shine some light on this?
