AutoCocker Valve/Hammer dimensions
Hey, 'Nation!
I'm doing a final project for metal shop and I figured I'd use the mill and lathe at school to make a valve and hammer for my AutoCocker build. The materials and machining isn't a problem, it's just the issues of having the dimensions of the valve and hammer for a standard AutoCocker. I don't have one I can measure and I was wondering if there were any published anywhere or if someone with a spare and some calipers could give me some dimensions for it!
Thanks in advance, guys!
Noah

Awesome! Just what I needed! You're my hero! I'll make something similar to this, maybe just tweaked a little, but the same dimensions. Awesome!
These are in inches, correct?

All right, I've got .sldprt, .slddrw, and E-Drawing files that I'll put up shortly. I've made some nice drawings, so we're good!
Thanks for your help, I'm still looking for hammer dimensions...

Thanks anyways!

what do you need from a hammer? I can get you pretty much anything save the half block slot length...

I can also get my buddy to take precise measurements on my hammer before he modifies it, if you still need numbers. He's a professional machinist so the measurements would be accurate.

Thanks!
I was actually able to snag the dimensions from the AutoCocker owner's group on Facebook. I need to upload my .slddwg file I made of it...it might simplify things.
The thread ended up being 1/4-28 for the timing lug and the OD was .679."
I whipped it up on the lathe at school out of a piece of scrap SAE1018, and so far it works like a charm!
Thanks for all the help, guys, I now have a valve and hammer! I just need to figure out how to make hexagonal holes for the jam nut and IVG...
