odd cycling issue

Alright gun worked perfectly fine at cup and after, but i wasnt happy with the pressure being so high with the lurker bolt.

So today i cleaned everything and relubed, changed the dwell to 5.5ms, pressure around 160 and tried using the long boss spring, also changed out all the guide orings to the infamous ones. Went to shoot and the ball prob went 30ft, changed the pressure to 180 and the ball blew up all in the breach, so i cleaned it all out and tried again but to no luck the ball blew up again.

Cleaned everything and changed the last guide oring to one included with the lurker bolt and now the gun doesnt even cycle, it just blows air, I know the bolt is suppose to actually move forward and cycle so this is odd to me and have never had this kind of problem.

So this is where i need a little help

Isn't lurker's bolt made to be used with the stock spring, not boss's?

That shouldn't be the issue. Bolt related issues are always friction or seal.

Bolt guide rings: are they sealing? How is the friction by hand?

Spacer: is it snugly locked in to the groove? Could the be lube behind it deseating it?

Spacer to bolt fit: Is it snug on the bolt? This should be an extremely light seal. This seal must be lubed, which confused some since the INNER spacer oring is not lubed. Changing to an 015 here is acceptable.

Bolt to body fit: you can move just the bolt in the body with a sharpie marker. if there is a boor seal with the 017 outside on the bolt or the tip is creating too much friction, weird things can happen.

I do recommend the stock spring, because the bolt spring in part determines poppet timing.

The ideal lurker setup barely seals on all the rings, for very low friction. When customers have problems I will hand fit the bolt and orings myself and send it back, this produces the best possible results. You can do it yourself as well, but it sometimes requires lots of orings.

I also sometimes do this:

1. Apply metal polish to the dynamic orings you want to break in (I highly recommend against valve orings)
2. Cycle the parts back and forth by hand while twisting for a couple of minutes
3. Carefully remove the orings and wash them thoroughly with soap and water (dish soap works well)
4. Apply a tiny bit of lube in the oring grooves then reinstall orings in the original grooves
5. Lube and re-assemble

the bolt fits snug on the bolt guide, have to pull on it a little to pull it off. it fits fine on the spacer and with little force can be pulled up the spacer oring. Spacer is sitting snug, I can't even pull it off, bolts moves just fine in the breach with pushing it through with my finger

and i am using the stock spring

The Boss long spring has almost as much tension as the stock one. I'd try maybe the medium or even the short spring. Less tension = more velocity at lower pressure, but a bit of a rougher shot. It's a trade-off.

Your o-ring setup is exactly like mine, assuming the black bolt guide o-ring is an 012. I use the Boss spacer and shock o-ring on my lurker bolt.

yep one of the 012 that lurker included. Tried the stock, long, and short and it just blew air, wouldnt cycle forward and how i know is because i stuck my finger in the breach haha

and on the bolt i have the white shock absorber, boss shock oring
