We lost 16 total. I am not sure why I put 12. More than 250 wounded may have accounted for the every day news.

Kids in our village loved us. Came into to area, wrecked the Taliban, were always nice to locals, gave them candy, built them a school, set up ALP (sketch) so they were ok with us for the most lart

I work with ALP every day. Every time we roll into the compound there is one guy in the tower who always sets him PKM up like he is gonna blast us...im waiting for it to happen

The kids around here are always throwing rocks, flipping us off, making other obscene gestures or punching our trucks when we roll by. Hate them...I used to toss them cookies from the chow hall but not anymore lol

Don't let it happen.

Arrest the guy. You can probably only have him fired and take his rifle if he is doing that but it is better than doing nothing. Dont take chance. Lots of time it is more than just macho **** and they are actually testing to see how much they can get away with before they actually attempt it.

Source: My teammate was shot twice in the back plate at a checkpoint by some ANP scumbag with a PKM. A dozen more of our guys were wounded and one killed in the same attack by PKM dudes ANP buddies.

we had suspected ANP/ANA setup a grenade hooked up with a trip wire right by the gym in one of our PBs, luckily someone found it before anyone set it off.

Our ALP thought they were getting tanks hahaha. Our ANA was pretty legit as far as ANA goes, but ALP was sketch. In the brigade area there was a few incidents where ALP turned on our guys. At one of the ALP checkpoints, a guy walked into the compound and waxed everyone with a PKM and took off with all the weapons.

The problem is we cant do anything about it...weve told the General of the ALP yes the general and he just said he is doing his job. Today when the civilian contractors yelled at him...wasn't as drastic as other times he pulled if off the sand bags so idk what his deal is. I don't trust any of them. ANA got F***** up the other day. VBIED then a small scale attack at one of their compounds. All the INS kills were strapped with S-Vests. Surprisingly enough, CF don't get messed with too much. All the attacks that have happened have been on the local forces. Still on my guard though, im not taking any chances

A couple days before we left our little compound in the village we lived in, the ANA +'d up their forces by 10 guys and were all acting REALLY sketch. Then on the day we were leaving we found out that the unit we relieved was living in a similar situation with the same exact group of ANA, and when they went to leave the ANA +'d up by 10 guys, and held the Americans at gun point so they couldn't leave. We put like 5 extra guys on guard in random areas in the compound but luckily it was all hugs and smiles when we left. Cant even begin to imagine wtf is going on in that village now.

I ETS in 3 months but I am thinking about extending instead and deploying right back to Zharay with a different unit in the spring.

Reading this thread again really makes me question why I am considering it.
