I've shot both. They both shoot great, but the geo 3 will hold it's resale whereas the ego has already lost it.

If you buy a marker for its resale value you are going to lose every time , but thats a whole different thread.

I have owned both and they are totally different platforms and really can not be compaired against each other. The question to ask is pretty much always the same. Do you want loud and efficient or quiet and less efficient? Both are excellent markers. I myself prefer a quiet spool valve marker and primarily shoot my Luxe 2.0 and have a Geo3 as my back up.
Asking others what they prefer isn't going to help you as you may prefer one over the other for different reasons. My vote between the two markers you questioned would be for the Geo3.

I love the Ego line so my vote is for it. I owned a Geo 3 and it gave me problems so I cannot give it a favorable review, but I am sure that others had a way better time than I did with it. Honestly it's a tough call. Both are PE markers that are very solid and consistent (at least in the ego case IME).

Two best guns on the market IMO, I would decide based on type of paintball being played and if speedball how much paint you shoot per point. The Geo3 feels great but doesn't do as well on air as the Ego11.

11 better on air but hopper and 7 pods is generally not a problem even at the pro level

I own a geo3 they shoot amazing not such an ego fan

new geo looks sick. if i can nab a little extra cash i will be getting one.
