Buying Off PbNation

Hi I couldnt seem to find a section appropriate for my question so I had to make it here if that's ok. Recently I sold someone an item (non paintball related) and the person sent me the money via paypal. Here's where my question comes in. It said my paypal balance was pending x amount of money for the item. It read "Buyer must confirm he/she has received the product before your paypal account is credited." (well something like that)
I would like to know how he sent the money because I wish to buy something from one of the members on PbNation and I do not want to gift the money of course so I was wondering how to properly send money through paypal since I will be sending money first. Thanks!

just send it as you are paying for goods. that way if anything happens you are covered. if you gift, you give up your rights as a buyer.

Just be careful because there are scumbags out there who will rip you off but if you are careful it is a quit good deal. Thats what i did with my ego 08!

I cant answer your question about how the buyer paid you on PP however, as most others on here have said do NOT gift money. Pay the extra fees to buy as goods. If this is your first purchase on PBNation, please check out the sellers feedback and make sure to check the thread of members not to do business with. Also, you can look into using a moderator as a third party in the transaction. The third party transaction costs a bit more money but ensures that you will not get ripped off. I have had several great exchanges on here and for the most part all of the members are great people. Good luck.

The buyer paid normally it's just a safety net paypal has in place. Same thing happend to me when I sold an item on ebay. It mainly happens if you are a newer user.
As to when you will be able to access the money it's hard to say. I was able to access mine 3 days after the delivery date. Could take longer..

As for paying with paypal, NEVER gift the money.
