Just got a G3.
So I just picked up a used G3 for cheap. The guy I got it from told me it has a 7th element board. Is there a way I can find out what board I have?
Im a newbie to these guns, anything I should look out for? Upgrades?

APE board, Techt L7 bolt engine, and a barrel kit, all you need... maybe a CP trigger or a custom delrin one. the manufacturer's name should be on the board.

7th Element has a terrible reputation when it comes to their boards working properly. HOWEVER they have finally come to terms with that fact and are now accepting anyones board, regardless of warranty, if it were to break. They'll fix it for free, you just pay shipping.
Aside from that I would highly recommend you get a TechT Bolt Engine as it will completely change your G3 and make it 100x better.
If you have any problems with the marker just pop in here and ask, we'll set you straight.

It's a great gun for the price and with the upgrades I mentioned it makes the marker amazing. The only issue is that he board could be faulty or stop working further down the road. It's happened with a lot of 7th Element boards in the past in many different markers.

okay guys come on, the 7th element board is fine and if he already has it its NOT worth it to go grab an ape board. dwell, rof and fire mode is all anyone has to adjust and both boards do that.
I have been using a 7th element board for years and its fine, the ape board i have is also stellar.
Post a picture and i can confirm if its the 7th element or not.

Well the guy I got it from called me to let me know its a Virtue board not a 7th element. I checked it and it is indeed a virtue board. I was thinking of getting the t tech bolt, what else you guys recommend? And as for mode what should I set it to? I have a halo b and a velocity jr loaders I can use with the g3.

Well after researching I THINK its a vitue board, cause I seen stock boards have 6 little toggle switches and mine has 2. Anyways I took some pics of the board. Hopefully someone knows what it really is.
Front side
Back side(has g3/iq marked on the bottom)

Its a 7th ele board. The battery harness is unique to theirs. Only them solder their battery harness to board.

all techt bolt are now HE. unless you buy somewhere else other than techt themselves or yetipb. i suggest you get in touch with yeti and he can assist you on getting the HE bolt for your G3.

Any idea how to change the settings? I believe its on semi-auto right now. What you guys think, play with this board till when/if it goes bad then go with a ape board?
I have a 68/4500 Crossfire tank with a Halo B or Velocity Jr.(i have both)
