Best Dye Gun of All Time
Best dye gun of all time?
All factors included (maintenance, durability, smoothness, ect.)
I'm going with the DM7

DM8 with the 9 eye pipe. Feel of the 7 with the updated pipe.

There are a million of these threads.. But still, the dm7 takes the cake. Phenomenal looks, low profile, ease of maintenance, rediculously smooth shot, extreme comfort.

dm7 is a must have , unlike PE guns the same age they are cheap , and if needed, you can find parts easily cause they have a booth with a tech and parts at every event at the most unexpected spot on the planet

Unless it's the NPPL world championships. In which case there is a booth with nice wood furniture vendors, but Dye is no where to be found.

I'm gonna go with the DMC. It made one of the lightest guns at the time lighter, and when a UL frame was thrown on it was pretty nasty.

I'm actually going to say the 12 is the best one so far.
The 7 was good but it's as big as the 12 without the new grip frame or bolt, no eye pipe, hyper2 stock, etc.
I suppose if you're on a budget, the 9 is pretty darned hard to beat, or the 11.
They're all so close in price now (within a hundred or two) that there's no point in going super old school on a DM unless you like the looks of the older ones.

Its not the price that makes me choose my 6 over my 10..... Its the weight of the marker. The 6 is perfectly balanced and its extra weight makes the kick non-existent.

Yep. Pretty much the last type of vendor I expected to see at a paintball event. Was nice talking to you though, and the plaques were a great idea. Hope business is going well
Not sure why Dye has been choosing not to participate in the NPPL though, dunno if it's a paintball politics thing (more like high school drama really) or just a money issue. But I don't remember seeing them at DC or Vegas.
