took me a long time to find one. Had a 3D model made to have one reproduce but it was cost prohibitive unless i ordered like 30, with no guarantees they would fit.
good luck!

Are you referring to one of these? If so, good luck! I haven't seen one of those in quite some time.

That actually looks like a DIY job - the ERA mod mounts the external LPR on the end cap on the valve side rather than the VRA.
They are very difficult to find, partly because they were notorious for leaking and sort of developed into a pariah of the Angel market at the time.

This is what originally came to mind, (Micro Rock).
For the most part though, I'd heard nothing good about the mod, and like you, I also heard that they were notorious for leaking.

That's a legit ERA mod on the blue one.
That leaking reputation wasn't for no reason. I remember when I first started frequenting paintball forums hearing a lot of complaints about it. Not the end of the world, but at the same time, I don't think the performance of any of the 'cocker regs are dramatically better enough to really justify it.

good decision, these are for the nostalgic, more than the functional.

you can try doing some or all of the mods in this thread. Although I personally wouldn't mod something that i can't back out... especially on an Impact LCD body.

I second this. Gotta love a gimmick though.

Wasn't STP planning on producing an externally adjustable LPR for LCDs at one point? What ever happened with that?

I followed up on this and spoke to someone at STP about a year ago. There are no plans to market one for the LCDs. I asked if he could make a personal batch for me and he said it wouldn't be cost effective because they are produced in very large quantities. Finally, I humorously asked him if he could send me design details so I could have my machinist mill one... the response was "definitely not." heh
In regards to how much an external lpr would benefit the led/lcd, I saw dramatic shot to shot consistency after I installed an AKA internal lpr. Consistency brings tighter shot groupings and/or better accuracy. Personally, I'm not a fan of the stock lpr, they seem really constrictive. I've always wanted to mod or bore one out, but that will probably never happen.
On the back of the back of the backburner, I would like to send in the era mod I own (sits lonely in a box) and have a machinist make a "sleeve" that functions the same, but would take up less volume. This has been discussed before as trancer mentioned.
I would never pseudo-era mod a rare angel (impact). Save that for a run of the mill model.

I have an ERA mod in a box and have thought about trying to have something similar done.
It might also be interesting to see if someone could build a reg body that would take AKA SCM internals.

Yeah, I posted a pic of mine somewhere here. They are impossible to find. Thry would also be incredibly difficult to have one duplicated because of the wild outer/inner threads.
