With 200k on the frame? That's asking for trouble. Plus there's issues that arise with swaps all the time.
A clean bugeye with around 100k miles making like 300whp can be found plenty around 8k or so, give or take other mods. There's even a 6 speed up right now making like 280 for 9 so, I mean, there's that.
The whole hopping into a car that'll become my DD with that many miles and no guarantee it'll drive right after the new tranny goes in would scare me.
