There's this 2-door GC in the shop that's been occupying all of his time. Pretty much, the kid brought him a 150% rusted empty 2-door chassis (seriously, the thing was falling apart), and was pretty much like "MAKE IT NEW AGAIN!! WITH A FULL STI SWAP!!!". Kale told him that he'd be better off buying a clean chassis and starting from scratch, but I guess it had some sort of sentimental value to him. So he's pretty much spending like $22,000 or so to get this chassis drivable. I mean, it will be sick when it's done, but yeah.
The kid's been rushing him to finish it, even though he's not going to drive it during the winter, so there's really no point in rushing it
Kale's pretty much done all of the body work, and says that he's done all that he's going to with it right now. The kid should be happy with his progress, and if not, too bad. The next step is dropping in the motor, tranny, wiring, suspension, brakes, etc. But that will be after my car's done. He also bought a 20G, new fuel stuff, meth kit, exhaust, all supporting mods, etc.
He wants to make like 400whp. He hasn't decided if he wants to built/refresh the motor yet. I have a feeling that he's going to decide to build it, and that all of this rushing will be for nothing, because the car will be in the shop for another 1.5 months after it's all assembled anyway to take the motor out again and rebuild it.
Jr texted me yesterday and said that he'll make time for me whenever I'm ready. I'm also going to get the short block started soon

Yeah, that's the thing. It's just deciding if I'd like an uber low miled bone stock or one that is just low miled with tons of work done to it. I honestly thing I'm leaning towards tons of work. But, as I said, already having a built motor will really help my decision as I really don't feel like going through that again.
Would definitely be making sure it's from a reputable shop and all work has receipts and whatnot.
If I'd had the cash, there was an Evo8 selling for 20k that had 400+ awhp on 93 octance that had tons of work done to it, looked awesome, 60k miles and had a true flex fuel system. So awesome, but it sold :/
I can afford the payments now but I doubt I can get a loan without a down payment.

You're begging your tuner to get off his *** and tune your car that you haven't built yet?

We're doing a conservative tune on this current built motor first, then another full power tune on the sleeved block once it's finished.

I pray to the gods of jelly that none of you guys have to throw your car in the shop like I did at the time that I did. The holidays have really ****ed with the timing and my wallet. Balancing Christmas/thanksgiving/new years/Halloween financially with the build/repairs has really been a pain in the *** :/
Anyone looking for some last minute Christmas gifts or stuff? I have: iPod touch, gaming headset (ps3/Xbox), new leather fox wallet, helmet cam + extras, hookers, blow, meth lab? I need some help I'd let these go cheap.

If I wasn't just as financially ****ed I'd love to.
The radiator issue got worse and I'm in need of a new radiator before my car is driveable again. We're going to pay the extra for an aluminum one while we're at it but damn, I'm so tired of fixing ****. So ready to get something else.

Yes, but the caps and tanks are plastic.
Rampage: I've got an OEM sti radiator with 20k on it. If Matt pulls his you can have it if you pay shipping.
