I need to check that one out.
Their first artist, 'Metz' is actually pretty cool...noise rock stuff. I'm glad Torche made the list, kinda bummed about Converge's new album not making it.

Listening in to a Jimmy Buffett concert replay while doing work, AND surfing several non-work related websites (PBN included, of course). I'm multitalented.

Morning OT. Time to get up and go to class for my apprenticeship. AC theory can be mind numbing at times...

I view the lottery as my contribution to property tax relief. In Wisconsin, you can claim a credit on your homestead property that is a lottery credit. Amounts vary between municipalities, but it's usually around $100. So, I figure if I spend the credit amount or less per year, I'm at worst breaking even.
And I didn't even hit a single number on my tickets last night. Kind of disappointed, but life goes on.

My wife and I have been discussing which Christmas tree to buy. She wants the short needles. I want the long needles. Both are $20 at home depot.
She said she'd buy a tree while I'm at work. I told her thanks, because I won't help set it up

Lol, i generally dont play the lotto either, but i lose much more than 2 dollars on a weekly basis, so putting $2 into a chance of a lotta millions, no matter how extremely small the chance is, isnt too bad to me though...
A few choice quotes regarding playing the lottery:
"Why the hell would i lend friends or family money to start a business? I'd rather use it to play the lottery." - person who thought the government should fund business ventures
"I spent 500 on lotto tickets last night and only won 50, damn system wants us to be workers forever" (because you couldnt have put that 500 into savings or paid some bills ahead or anything like that)

Short or long needles is a hell of a lot less important than a straight trunk. We had a tree one year that looked like it had scoliosis. Then it tipped over, breaking several irreplacable ornaments.

My gf is obsessed with trees. We actually had one fall over last year, then it died. The place replaced it for free so she was happy.
They look great once set up but setting up, maintenance and taking it down are a pita

Damn this thread moves quick!
Any advice for gauging the straightness of a tree trunk before we buy ours?
