You pick and choose your challenges so the example really isn't that accurate. Not that you choose all adversity you handle but for example, if Jim had wanted to be an arctic explorer all the while, then yes.

if one wants to be an arctic explorer, its a safe assumption they would find comfort in an arctic environment.

You would describe their situation as comfortable? I would question your word choice or how you define comfort. You might find fulfillment or happiness. But comfort?

Shooter, seeing as you apparently know stuff about knives, suggest me something fairly high quality (perhaps $100 or so, not too firm on price so give a range) that fits the following description:

Assisted open
No serrated edge
Not tanto
Some sort of clip (I like to clip it to the inside of my pocket)
Thumb-operated blade lock (this isn't necessary, but I like it)
Light as possible

This will probably be a Christmas gift to myself, unless I can get a family member to get it for me.

I'm not picky on brand, right now all I have is a $25 Mako that I got from Scheels, and a Gerber mini multi tool that I keep on my keychain.

people go surfing in cleveland in the middle of winter. its freaking weird. the lake gets pretty big waves in january and a bunch of guys put on wet suits and hit it up. i was driving down the shore way a day after a big storm and saw like 10 guys in the water and was pretty shocked.

just say my friend and he is doing well. i guess he can move his toes a little bit so he is already making good progress. just really sucks to see someone that was so active in that kind of state.

I cannot throw a ball to save my life. i cant throw a ****ing baseball anymore (well i can i just look like a retard). i can throw side armed fine but overhand i look like i am having a seizure or something. i used to be able to throw fine too, which is the most depressing part of it.

I can punt a ball around 40 yards (from kick to landing, not factoring in the LOS), with a little over 3 seconds hang time. It's not good at all, but not bad in comparison to Penn State this year.
