West coast teams (california)
Hey Everyone,
We have just been approved to have a team at Fresno State, and are looking into what it is we can actually do. We were wondering if there were enough teams in the area to have a West Coast Conference, or if we should just plan on travel for the world cup, and national championships. Anyone have any idea of what teams are still around and what we can make happen? Thanks Guys!

CSULB has a team. We are working to try and move from a club to being a team over at UC Riverside. I think Fullerton is getting their stuff back together. If you have some ideas of what you would like to happen, put them out there and I'm sure we can make them happen. Congrats on getting a team.

I was hoping to find enough teams in the california area to put a conference together for the upcoming season, but if not we would love to set up some days where some of the college teams can get together and just have a fun/scrim day.

Definitely let us know if you get one back together! We just had our try outs today, and picked up everyone that showed up to make sure that we can be competitive not only now, but also in the future. But if you get the team back together let us know so we can try to set up a conference or just some days of scrimming!

CSULB is planning on hosting at least one AA tournament this year. Let us know what's going on with you guys though and we'll try to get a conference going!

Well we definitely have a team, just basically trying to figure out if we can get a conference going or what it is we have to do. We would love to have a conference, just not sure if everyone around here is willing to do the same. We aren't exactly sure what the rules are but we would love to play the A format as we have some guys with good experience, and developing the rest. Either way we would definitely be interested in heading down to Long Beach for a tournament if you guys hold one.

Definitely down for a Class AA and maybe a Class A tournament so long as money and players permit

Just to bump this. Northern Arizona University has a club/team. We were working on getting a AA tournament in PHX soon, but have still been trying to work things out with the field.

In the past we've held events at Action Star Games in Colton, CA. Anyone interested in holding a tournament there on, say, November 17th? This is just a proposed date, I haven't talked to ASG or anyone about it yet. We could also go earlier / later.
Following that, maybe an event near San Diego, so we're a little closer to AZ / New Mexico teams?

Dymium, what about something in mid January? Our team has already committed to playing the WCPPL event on Nov 17-18th since there weren't any tournaments out here yet. I know with talking to some other schools about scrimmaging and getting things set up, mid January is pretty feasible for everyone.

Mid-January seems like it would fall in the first week of Spring semester. Late January / early February usually gives everyone enough of a chance to get back into school, but not so far in that midterms are coming up.

I also agree on late January. Gives everyone enough time to get back into the semester and have 1 practice. Northern az is more than willing to drive to a LA/SD NCPA event
