Question about rippers
What is the difference between the 1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5. I have a lead on what I think is a 2.5 but it is hard for me to tell. What is the value of a 2.5 these days. I feel like it is a pretty good deal.

I checked out the libraries and was still confused, thats why I posted. I was trying to figure out how to tell the difference between a 1 and a 2.5 just from a photograph. It looks like the only obvious difference is the trigger guard. The 2 I realize has pretty distinctive milling.

They are just different ripper generations. Nothing other then that. There are minor differences between them as far as design. The ripper 1 is really rare, but not as rare as the ripper prototype. They are all considered pretty rare though.
The only thing that really separates them is the ripper 3 if my memory serves me correctly as you can't put those bodies on different frames.

Do you have a picture? We can probably confirm for you.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that you don't have a 1.25/1.5. There are only three of them. Bob has one and the other two are in my garage.
A Ripper 1 is going to have a smaller body and will use a decoration block on the back. Either chrome or a reannodized piece of aluminum to fill the space. From there, the milling between a 2 and a 2.5 is different and easily distinguished.

I'm going to die one day too. Neither event is likely to happen anytime soon.
My will stipulates that both 1.25's are to be entombed with me for eternity.

So when we all show up to Lopez's grave can someone remember to bring a stereo with the theme from The Good the Bad and the Ugly for the ensuing Mexican standoff that will undoubtedly occur over his coffin?

To find my grave just look for the urinal. I'm having one installed in lieu of a headstone to accommodate everyone who has told me they want to piss on my grave.

value depends on condition. color doesn't dictate value, period. Ripper ones were built off of the classic platform and are the same length as a spyder body. as stated it will have a decoration block. Ripper 2s are unlike any others in that the milling pattern is different and the body is based on an alias intimidator. These can be distinguished by the 'buzzsaw' stickers or light milling on the rear sides of the body between the upper and lower tubes. Ripper 2.5s look like a ripper one but they don't have a deco block as the body is the same length as the ram sleeve and are again based off of the alias platform.
there are usually a couple three for sale at any point in time so you can see what people are asking, what people are lowballing and offering as **** trades and sometimes what they are actually selling for.
a ripper one is gonna cost you at least 650 unless the person doesn't know what they have. a ripper 2 will cost between 2-3 and a ripper 2.5 will likely cost a bit more. 650 for a ripper one is on the low scale as well since I've yet to see one personally sell for under 7. just to give you an idea my naked prototype ripper one body cost me almost 300 bucks but came with some other parts. and for those of you that are curious I haven't made any progress on it since I've had it aside from aimlessly gathering parts and no it isn't for sale.
