FEP Quest Bolt Spring

I have 2 spare stock bolts and my father's best friend owns a machine shop. I was thinking about getting him to machine a channel in the bolt. I was thinking that springing the bolt could reduce dwell and increase efficiency. It could eliminate FSDO as well. If it works I can try it on a better bolt. I would test it out over a chronograph, of course.

Thoughts?

Might work, personally don't really see a reason. I've never had issues with bolt stick on any of my Quests, and it's already one of the most efficient of the spool valves that were ever around.

I get pretty bad FSDO and I don't think it would hurt to try it. The worst that could happen is I ruin a stock bolt. It would be cool to further improve efficiency.

I agree, I've never had a problem with any of my Quest's. never had a problem with FSDO either. It'll be interesting if it works though.

the 4B bolt kits were specifically designed to be tighter and are harder to move the bolt over the pin. and I STILL didnt have any FSDO. Id say you are trying to correct a problem that isnt there.
