Hydro Question...WHERE?!
So, I've looked a bit around on the 'Nation...and its been extremely helpful, I know when I need to get my tank replaced or hydro'd...but really I need to know..WHERE can I get my tank Hydro'd?

You can ship it out to ninja or to crossfire. They will gyro it and send it back and you will be good for another 5 years. Just go up on their websites but I would go through NINJA. They are a very reliable company

$25 with our coupon you fill out. We test every Thursday and ship back Friday and Monday.
We do not upcharge for
1. bottle inspection
2. reg removal
3. thread cleaning
4. loctite to put the reg back on
5. cleaning the cylinder inside from residue or oils
6. Most of all***we do not charge you if your bottle does not pass (some do and that is not fair)
All that is included in the flat fee. Shop wisley!!

A hydro is a test involving labor, a little electricity and water for the equipment and recording official results and you pay for that test. That is fair!
Your not charging for a failed test is just good marketing!

Never saw it as marketing. I thought since you all pay so much for your equipment, if it fails, why throw additional salt in the wound. That is why I don't charge.

Sure but you can usually buy another for less than mailing it in for hydro testing.

smart man  When it comes to mailing in a 48/3000 aluminum or any CO2 tank for a hydro test, its usually less or about the same cost to just go and buy a brand new system |

There is a scuba lessons/shop near me that hydros tank cheap. Maybe look for one of them?

Local is best, no shipping!
Cost me $15 in Madison,WI to get my tank done in 3 days at a fire extinguisher inspection place. $20 for 1 day turn-around at a similar business in Milwaukee.
Look around your area. There is likely someone who will do it near you. |
