Geo 2.1 - Bent Frame
Is this common? I've owned my Geo 2.1 for less than a year and bought it brand new..and today, while I was stripping my gun down for it's end of the season cleaning, I noticed the frame was cockeyed towards the bottom. I've only used the gun three times this season, one tournament and two woodsball outings. I absolutely babied the gun (as I'm sure most of you guys do) and never took any diggers or dives with this thing so I'm at a loss for when it happened.
Am I SOL so for as the warranty goes? Sucks when you drop $1000+ into something just to have it fold like that..and it must not have been a lot of pressure either if I don't remember an incident in doing such an act that could cause a bending of the frame.
Sent an email PE's way. Luckily I only live about an hour away.

It is possible that it was damaged in your gear bag. Regardless, if it has been less than a year and our gun is registered, any Planet Eclipse Service Center should be able to help you out.
The frames were designed to act as a safety barrier to reduce the forces transmitted from bad dives or impacts. Most people would trade a bent frame for a damaged shoulder.
Sometimes the frames can be bent back if the frame is not too badly bent.

Thanks for the heads up. Sent them an email last night and tried a follow up call but sounds like they still have their thanksgiving "out of the office" message still up. Praying I can get this thing fixed.

Anyone know when the phone line/office opens back up for PE USA? Seems they haven't turned off their Thanksgiving "away" recording yet so I haven't been able to reach them via phone yesterday or today. No response via email yet either.

Just wanted to update, Gerry has been wonderful in taking care of me. Sending in my gun to get looked at ASAP. I knew there was a reason I spent the extra money to get a gun that's fully supported.
Thanks again guys.

They cost about $80 to replace if it is out of warrantee. Otherwise PE usually takes care of it.
