Sell me on the idea of owning a Vic
Now, obviously I'm aware that I'm coming to what should be a fairly biased area to ask this question, but I've always been interested in trying out a Vic. I have zero previous experience with anything BL. However winter has arrived and I am considering selling my guns and picking up a Victory. What can you offer me in the way of pros/cons and advice
Thanks in advance!

Very efficient. Very smooth shot for a poppet. Not as loud as many poppets (quieter than my NT11 even)

Thanks for the input! how does it shoot in comparison to the Geo2? Thats what I'm currently using and love that shot quality. Knowing that the Geo2 is rough for a spool and the vic is smooth for a poppit, are the shots compairable?
Also, how does it hold up in the cold/rain I live in Atlantic Canada so I play in all sorts of weather

It'll do great in that weather. Honestly, most of your questions are subjective. I'm a Marq guy, I always come back to the Closer and Victory. You may have a different opinion. Bottom line, it's a great platform that's efficient and easy to maintain.

Super efficient, most reliable marker I've ever owned for the little amount of attention and up keep they require. Very easy to clean and maintain. Very easy to 'tune' and when done correctly, Vic's have the smoothest shot with little to no barrel rise. I sent mine to BLAST to have the supercharger engine installed. After figuring out where mine needs to be set at for pressures, I'm getting a full hopper and 9 pods from a 68/4500 fill. It has proven to be the absolute best marker for a guy who plays on a woodsball team. Biased? Yes! Get one!

Thanks for the input, and good news since I play mostly in the woods haha
and I am aware my questions are going to be based mostly on a case by case opinion, I apologize for that, I'm just looking for personal opinions I guess since I cant really form my own since literally no one locally uses bob long so I cant try them out.

It's like a machine gun. The gun feels heavier then most guns, but yet balanced well. (it was made to use a 68 45 stubby.) the shot is more like a pop. slight recoil, but almost snappy. I was extremely happy with mine. the maintaince was excellent, just the engine is what you need to worry about. So one quick pull of the back cap, and it comes out.
Use a low pressure tank, if a ninja reg just take out the shims. I think efficiency is superb

they shoot very soft, softer than any geo2 ive used. We have 3 of them on our team and all of them are great and have not gone down once this season. (4 if you include my closer. )
some might argue that the sound signature is not much quieter than other markers but the sound is very sort so to speak. we run our dwells very low (with good results) and the sound is a very crisp shot with very little barrel rise.
One thing you need to know about bob long guns is that they need to be maintained and set up correctly. You need to use a pressure tester to set the lpr and you are supposed to use dow55 on all orings, nothing else.

Thanks for the reply, the maintenance is my only concern. I'm fairly well versed in PE markers as well as Shockers. Is there any part of victory maintenance that might cause me some confusion?

If you can read and follow directions it's simple. It really doesn't require a lot of maintenance. Once you get the pressures set a little triflow on the bolt after playing and lube every once in a while on the orings, you're golden

Only read difference is lube. Dow 55, and triflow on the bolt. Nothing exotic about maintenance.

its easy. if you can maintain an ego you can do the same with a marq.

Should be a Str8 trade for your geo2 to a Vic 1, and if you dont like the feel you can always swap to any other gun...
I was in an accident that left me with only one functioning hand, and since i have tried well over a dozen guns..
geo 2.1 (geo2)
ego 11
g6r 11 & 12
droid
shocker
luxe
angel a1 fly
cyborg rx
v1 victory
nt 10 & 11
dm10
really just about every gun.. and my current ripper victory is by far the best, only gun i can hold steady and keep a good stream going down field.
as far as weather, i live on the opposite end of that spectrum... hot all the time

Yah I could do the straight for a V1 but I've got a few guns I wanna get rid of, so I think I'm gonna try and snag a V2 eventually, I just love the milling on them so freaking much haha. But I'm in no huge rush since there is no paintball for me for a few months now. Might just sell now then wait till spring and see if the price goes down at all.

virtue also makes a synthetic version of dow 55. its the purple colored syringe. its actually thicker than plain dow 55.

I know that it comes in different colors but I don't thing Virtue makes it's own. Can't say that with 100% conviction, but pretty sure.
