Well, dude told me he wanted to "sleep on" my offer of the 300L. Haven't heard back from him. :/

However, my Tokina 16-28 did sell today. Thought about picking up a Nikon mount version of my much loved Sigma 85 1.4, but I'll probably hold out and get a 17-35 first.

lol, read that a few times.

1D III is gone, got a payment last night for the 300L, all that's left is my 35L and 85 EX. 80-200 came in the other day, that thing is a ****ing tank.

Got a dude offering me a pretty damn good price on a Sigma 300 2.8. Might pick that up and see how I like it, can always sell it if it doesn't work out. I won't touch a Sigma zoom for anything, but I've had good luck with the primes, just never done anything with one of their supertelephotos.

Never heard back from the dude on the 300L. Some other dude in Washington state bought it.

1D sold for $1200 to a dude who is getting his first pro body. Took a while, guess it's kind of a buyer's market right now. Now to further ponder what glass I really want.

Said piss on it, went to the local store today and bought an SB-910 and a 28mm 1.8. So far I think the world of both of them.

I will say that the newer Nikon primes I have don't hold a candle to Canon's L build quality and feel, but the price was right on them. I haven't had time to play much with the 28 1.8, but so far I'm loving it and it was $700 compared to what I spent on my 35L.

I'm starting to feel like I had too much glass with my Canon setup. I like to prepare for any situation, and I end up over buying and over carrying. Gonna try and keep it trim this time around. Just paid for a 300 2.8, then I might get a fisheye or a 135DC and call it a day for lenses.

yea I can understand that... having those 3 lenses (35, 70-200, 300) was perfect for me... great for all sports and portrait work too

It's nice not to have a horribly crowded bag now. If it weren't for that beast of an 80-200, it would even be light.

35, 85, 70-200 is mostly what I would need for portraits. I just can't get myself to use my 50 much. I will if I'm cramped on space but meh. It just doesn't see much use.

24 2.8 for landscape and sometimes the 35.

My backpack is feeling a little heavy too. 50 1.8, 16-35 2.8, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8-- all with 2 bodies and 2 430ex's. It has nothing on your canon collection but I just picked up a smaller shoulder bag for when I know I'll only be using one or 2 lenses.
