Must haves in a serious rec players gear bag

Just curious what do you guys consider a good list of items to have with you when you go to the field to play rec ball. Not all stuff you gotta have but stuff you should work towards getting. Not going into clothing myself but I think a neck protector, gloves, and knee pads are nice but there are so many options and it depends where you play so much I am not getting into it.

My list of should have items
Markers-At least two in case one breaks down. I use a Spyder RS and VS1 and they are reliable but you never know when you might take a bad fall and break something. I also keep a mech tippman in the truck, its camo in case I end up playing woodsball but also gives me another backup. Also batteries for your marker if you need them, always have a backup.

Air tank-At least one good reliable one here. Most fields will let you use one for free if yours does go down.

Parts-extra standard o-rings for tanks, extra detents is important, O-rings for your marker especially if you don't have a backup, I bought a little kit for my tippman and added extra stuff I needed for my spyders.

Tools-whatever tools you need to do maintenance on your marker, I bought a little kit at advanced auto and also have allen keys.

Squeegees-I have a quick collapsible one for the field and a redz one for when I finish the match, make sure you have one to fit your needs and ideally a couple, they are cheap anyway.

Masks-At least two, I take one to the field and keep two in the truck (one camo), if you got extra lens those are nice as well. A good cloth to clean it with is nice also.

Hoppers-Again I take 3, a Vlocity SF, tippman, and a gravity fed. I will probably never have the first one go down but a bad fall can change alot, also a bad break in the hopper and its alot easier to grab the backup and clean it later, also extra batteries, nothing worst than getting there and find they are dead.

Towel and water-cheap and simple but you need one, surprised how many people don't bring a towel or rag to clean up with.

My list of nice to have items
Extra barrels-Its nice to have options to play around with, even if its only one extra. Also smart to have your backup use the same threads.

Extra air tank-not necessary but nice to have, probably wont need it but reg could break in a bad fall, also easy to get a loaner if needed.

Pods and pack-depending where you play but its nice to have some just in case

In summary
Items to work towards getting
Marker and backup, spare parts, tools to work on marker, Mask and backup, Hopper and backup, towel and water, squeegees, air tank and backup, extra barrel, pods and pod pack

Anything else non clothing/padding related I am missing?

aside from the obvious (mask, marker, tank, pod pack or whatever for hauling paint, and some hex keys), rags/towels/something to wipe off paint is absolutely essential. i understand if a new player doesnt have one, but im consistently blown away by how many people who have their own gear and seem to have been playing for at least a short while who do not have something to wipe off their hits or lens with between games. masks are the most important item in our bags, not only for safety, but because a good mask will allow you to actually see for the whole game. if there's paint all over your lens, whatever other gear you're rocking is irrelevant.

for more regular players, id say squeegees. dont ask to borrow my squeegee! oh, and some sort of quality footwear, whatever it is. cleats, boots, hiking sneakers, whatever as long as its comfy and provides good traction.

I always bring a Spray bottle and a Microfiber, when you get gogged, you need some way to wipe that hit off after the game without smearing the paint. It works perfectly.

How about:

Mesh laundry bag (for all your dirty clothes), athletic tape, lanyard for your car keys, a lock (in case you need to store items in a locker), paintball caddy, separate microfiber cloth for mask only (prevents scratched lenses), and beanie/hat/sandana.

You guys got the main stuff (gun hopper mask) I'm going to throw up some less popular items that are in my Rec gear bag...

Throat protector and Nut towel. Biggest fears there... it only takes 11 pounds of force to collapse your Tracea... and years ago I read an article (with 'medical pictures' from doctor) about a guy who took a nut shot from 15 feet... his testicle blew up to the size of a grapefruit! These are 1-in-a-million shots, but still not worth the odds IMO.

3 squeegies [1 swab, 2 pull through]

Small Binoculars (2-4 magnification) - Yes they work with my mask and are helpful on occasion before contact with enemy has been made.

Teflon + Electrical tape for gun repairs.

Zip-ties are surprisingly useful... for holding together parts or even putting your camera on your mask (like I've done before!)

Parts Kit with extra parts for whatever marker you have.

Extra Towel and t-shirt to wipe hits from body/mask.

I didn't go into padding and such but I also carry a neck protector and nut towel (well nut beach towel since I have so much to cover )

I mentioned the parts but tape is nice also especially if you don't have backup marker, hopper, and mask.

Duct tape. It fixes everything. And batteries. Lots of batteries. I had my girl sew a microfiber onto the inside of my long sleeve I use for rec ball kinda like they got on jerseys for my mask.

In my truck I also keep a 2nd(or 3rd if someone is using my backup gear) setup. Extra socks. In woodsball you never know when you might decide the wet way is the best way.

Neck padding.... The 15lbs of pressure to collapse your trachea. That's true and all but highly unlikely unless your head is tilted fully back causing your trachea to be pressed against your skin basically. In a relaxed state a paintball will leave a nasty welt take your breath away. Unless you're skeletor I don't see a huge concern.

As for the family jewels baggy clothes work best I just wear baggy pants and a pair of compression shorts.

This. Nothing is more crushing to a day of paintball than a broken o-ring that you don't have a replacement for.

Never forget the importance of periodic weapon maintenance; rifle, pistol, police baton, I don't care which. If your weapon is falling apart, the only wasteland ******* it's going to kill is you. So be smart. Salvage those parts and make repairs whenever you can.

Yep especially if u have bad knees like I do, I also have a basic first aid kit. Also bug repellent like Off or Cutter is a must have if playing woodsball in warm weather. Nothing ruines a day of play worse than a chigger bite in the private areas

I've found that most people forget 3 things when their newbs.

1 spare o-rings
2 goggle cleaner & micro fiber towl
3 oil & grease
