Looking to pick up and orracle. Parts questions.

So I've been an electro guy for years but the idea of being an individual with a good steady income has finally sunk in, and I'd like to get a orracle for woodsball and nostalgia sake. Any recommendations of anything specific I should keep my eyes out for?

Also looking to get a system x beaver tail. For some reason I've always been fond of those.

Finally, curious as to how easy it is to change out a standard 90 degree Asa out for an angled Asa if I stumble across another cocker body I like.

Already posted in the wtb forums, just wanted to get my self out there as much as I can.

Go to paintball gateway they have an assortment of bodies u could piece together. Angled va are easy one screw swap o ring from old to new screw back in but it is a 12 point screw I believe.

Any major brands of aftermarket parts I should stay away from? I know there are tons of companies in the past that have made parts, and I want t keep it relatively stock.

And how's everyone's experience with palmers pursuit shop been recently? Might have them go though the whole marker, put their internals on it and have them time it since I live about a half hour from them. Good decision or not?

If you can get palmer pursuit to do the job, it'll be in great hands. They always made great consistant pnuematics.

Palmer's is nice, just expensive.

I think it was $65 or so to get my hands on just a nickel quickswitch. It happens to be the best three way I've ever used, hands down. It was just expensive.

I'm going to have a similar encounter here soon if I can't find a mint nickel microrock. But then I'll have the front end I want.

Palmer quickswitch
Palmer microrock
Eclipse ram w/QEV's

I do personally believe that those are the best pneumatic parts to be had. AKA would win the LPR slot, but I've only ever seen black parts from them.

Companies to avoid are Psycho Ballistics, Dragun, and anything made in China. Of course everythings made there now, but WGP was all made in the US, and quality when to crap when Kee sent production of to the east.

How about this, if I were to pick up an orracle made into a pump, what parts would I need to get to make it fully mech again? Just all the pneumatics for the front or are there other things? I'm most likely going to change out all the parts on the front block so I might just get a pump since ill need those parts anyways.

Switching back and forth isn't too big of a deal.

You'll need the complete front block, along with a standard pump arm to connect to the ram. And a trigger frame that allows for a three way rod. (Newer CCM frames are no go for a three way). As well as the actuating rod itself, either full sized or mini, based on your orracle.

I would poke around www.customcockers.com and www.mcarterbrown.com some. Make a couple want to buy threads. There's a few fellas out there who have a ton of old cockers but only sell through WTB threads because some cocker stuff will sit for a long time.

I would hold out for a full sized orry that hasn't been drilled for eyes.

you could find a 2k+ vert feed on the cheap and then just buy one of the orry bodies from paintballgateway and put the internals in it. honestly i think its a good price for a shiny brand new body kit. then you could sell the vert body to recoup the cost a little.

wgp pneu's work pretty well though. id get a delrin bolt as my only must have. and a good on/off asa and reg for convenience.

System X beavertails new can be found here for $5: http://www.autocockerparts.com/parts...aver-tails-60/

Some more options if you go the new body route: http://www.autocockerparts.com/parts.../body-kits-39/

They also have mini Orracle body kits there.

I'm trying to get a full orry instead of a mini, but that's not a bad idea whit getting a body and building it. I shoot geo's normally so ill probably put on a pops Asa and not sure on the reg. may just buy a black magic and get an orry body so I have all the parts

I am in love with the Azodin regs, work perfect and are only $40.
