hey all, I'm buying my first mech keyboard probably tomorrow but want mech keyboard owners input. right now i cant decided to go brown or red for my switches. i went to bestbuy the other day and they has 2 keyboards on display. one had blues and one had browns. blues were ok but they felt slow on retracting back so i can see my self trying to press the same key twice and it only activation once. i really loved how the browns felt and i planned on getting the corsair K70 with brown switches but im getting cold feet. i really wish i was able to try out the red switch keyboards
I'm on a 5 year old logitech membrane PS/2 keyboard right now. i'm kinda used to how there is kinda a bump when pressing it so i thought going to a red switch would feel weird. is this true?? what do you guys feel of the red switches coming from a membrane keyboard. the keyboard that had brown switches on display was the logitech 710+ these felt really nice. i liked how they felt typing and seemed to retract fast and not get hung up when bottoming out like the blue's did. i did read though that the logitech board keys have o-rings on it so that probably lessened the travel of the keys and probably affecting the feel.
well what do you guys think? red or brown? i game mostly but like i said, i've been so used to using the membrane keyboard, im not sure if its a big difference in feeling when going to a red switch. i dont want to be typing away and start double hitting the same key 2 times when i didnt mean to. (not sure if that happens when using red switches)
sorry if this was poorly typed. its 5 am and im kinda over tired .
