Bring back the old snake bunkers. The smaller ones were a horrible idea. no one likes them, i dont understand why we keep using them.

i could see this going either way in all honesty... i think the idea here is that its easier for teams to get to the edge and move forward. it seems that the issue is the huge lanes to get there, however if the incentive push more isn't there then players will tend to camp, and that incentive is dependent on the player really if they want to risk the move or not. if a team or player lacks the testicular fortitude to make the bump/move then they'll camp out and dump paint, but if they want to make the bump then they will. its just a matter of who wants it more and can play the field better. it makes it more important for players to walk the field and adapt just a little bit.

That said i have a couple recommendations:
1: bring back the taller snake
2: make the snake a hybrid of the "new" and older styles
3: Bring back some of the old bunkers (ie pins, center pyramids etc) because they were awesome to watch and play

if this were truly to help the game out, the update kit would be bunkers most fields that have been in business for a few years already have such as the bricks that were replaced by mini-races in 2011

it really is a balancing act, just going to have to let things play out a little, EVERY layout has its pros and cons... its just a process of evolution that has to happen

Think it's fair to say that the longer field hasn't attracted the OGs back. If anything taking the field back to the original dimensions and keeping 10 man going for the old dudes makes more sense.

Why take the wait and see approach. Why don't you make a demo run of these, release them to some widely played fields in the off season, set up some mock layouts for these said fields to run and get feedback? I know the sample size isn't as good as running a full season, but you could get some decent reps on it and know within a reasonable amount of time if the extra bunkers will get the desired outcome. All you have now is biased speculation, which gets you nothing.

Yes they were terrible at leaking as well. The narrow part in the middle was pretty tough to play, the way the field layouts are now, it would be tough to live in a Mini X

I also vote for old snake bunkers.

I would just like to see everything stay the same except for the snake beams be changed back to the old style.

Feild owners are the ones that pay for it honestly, if you are going to play a PSP event you plan to shoot as much paint is needed to win and you do not think anything of it.
