(AXBL) (X-Ball) tournament players look here.
I’m looking for tournament players that find local tournaments too easy, and find PSP to expensive, too far to travel, and too much time off work/school.
I got quite a few people interested in AXBL last year (a PSP Affiliate and X-ball league in mostly Houston. Visit AXBL.us for more info). We played a DIV. 4 and did well but more importantly noticed the league is well reffed, well ran, and very cheap for x-ball. It’s everything a PSP event is Without the Venders, cheaper, less travel, 1 day event.
If interested message me your name and any questions or information and I’ll get back ASAP. Or write it here.
Additional Information:
Rosters: Last year the League was strick on rosters. The way I am going to handle this is to roster the maximum number of players (15) those 15 must get us through 4 tournaments. ( only expecting 10-12 to make an event however)
Money: To get a roster spot is $105. This pays your entry for 4 tournaments, and also says to me that you have the intent to play most of the tournaments. Paint is 50 a case. Gas. ID badge. Possibly Hotel and food… that’s it!
Practice: I plan to have guys from different fields, and possibly different states, and they may already be practicing for other teams. With that being said I’m expecting everyone to do what they do on Sundays, get good individually, and we’ll make it work as a team. I do think we’ll get one in together before an event and I’ll plug guys in with people their used to playing with.
PSP Teams: If you’re planning on playing for one of the teams around LA planning on playing a season of PSP and want to do this too, I’d recommend it. Every experience I’ve had with a PSP team, the team hasn’t finished the season. That’s a lot of practice and money to only play 2 big events, especially to spend $500 plus and go 1-3. Not Doubting these teams, or Name dropping, I hope they all do well and finish. I’m just saying a lot of people quit after that, at least if we suck we’re only out 1 day of our life, hardly any practice, and max $300. I do expect to do well though just based on who we have.
Prizes, I’m not sure of the event prize, but last year the league winner played CUP free.
