Home made box mag
I am in the process of making a box mag for my T-68. What would be the best hopper to use for the internals?

I think a vlocity would be a good choice they're cheap, reliable, and pretty quick.

It has eyes..
So, You could extend the wires and place the eyes anywhere you like in theory.

Some people use Empire B/Halo B due to the catch tray that is removeable from the shell.

I made mine out of a 7.62 ammo box (super heavy, but durable as hell) I got at the army/navy store, and those blue Halo catch cups are the perfect size for it.

I was thinking of that, I have a 3 point sling, so the extra weight wouldn't be to bad. ESP with all the extra fire power I will be gaining.

It's on my A5, so I used the front grip screw to attach it to the body. I forgot that you're making it for your T68. That's mag-fed, right?
These were taken after I got it working. The PVC is painted black now, and I attached a lid to the left side for easier reloading.

How many rounds do you want it to hold? If you're cool with 10 rounds tubes then a PT pistol magazine is the easiest to install. Plus its spring forced, don't have to tilt the gun to seat the next round. No modification necessary to the magazine of the marker. I used one on a custom bolt action I built a while back.

Looking for 100-200 round box mag. Have a old t68 mag, figured could cut bottom off and sleeve a feed tube from the rotor system. Thinking halo hopper or the like.

Ive made a few, sound activated halo work if your ballstack isnt too long,I recommend getting an old draxxus pulse hopper as they are more modular and use a force pulse to feed, search oilys boxmag for the best example, ive based my ideas from him
Picture in my sig is of my SP8 drummag w/Halo guts,I am swapping them out for Pulse guts

Good to know, most everyone is using halo's for these kinds of projects, I will look into Draxxus hoppers. Thanks.

You could do a corkscrew design(think of a twin screw supercharger) powered by a small stepper motor. Stepper motors are adjustable by the 1 thousands of an inch. Run a clutch from a small electric RC car that will slip at your desired pressure to prevent paint busting. Use a set of eyes(infrared emitted/phototransistor) as the motor switch with a user activated bypass switch to power the stepper motor on constantly when you want/need it(shooting 300 rounds without stopping).
If you can't find a small motor clutch(I have a bunch, they are cheap) then go buy a $5 fishing reel from a pawn shop and scavenge the drag brake from it.

Have a old 50cal ammo can for the mag, tough as nails. Don't like the weight, but love the durability.
