Timmy solenoid leaks and other issues
Ok so i traded an iphone 4 16gb for an 06 timmy and tank. (i highly dislike iphones and it was just sitting there, i never used it, PLUS i got it for free)
thought i had gotten an amazing deal but guess not. Ive had the marker 3 weeks and it hasnt worked right one time. I replaced the orings on the reg block which were blown, then i replaced the bars and hoses to be safe, the battery harness was bad so i replaced that.
I noticed theres a leak from the solenoid so i have dow 55 on the way from macroline guy to service that.
I would like to tell you what my marker is doing to see if you can further diagnose it please.
I can fire a shot or two, and then a ball will get stuck in the barrel
I can clear it and fire a shot or two and then something will release (no popping sound but its like something popped off/out/open) and air will start wooshing like crazy until i open the ASA on/off. After that if i wait about 30 seconds and air up the gun again itll be fine, until i shoot a few more shots at which point itll repeat the process....
any idea what it could be?

if this is a gen4 you probably need to adjust your pressures. otherwise check your poppet and poppet spring to make sure it's placed properly

No 55 in the 'noid, use 33; check/replace your poppet, poppet o'rings & rocket cap as needed.

Middle poppet oring is coming out of its spot. Replace it with a 009 oring and be sure to follow the manual.

bingo! i forgot to mention that i had replaced the middle poppet oring (and that i also have dow 33 on the way). the gentleman i bought the ring kit from told me the same thing about using a smaller size oring, which i thought i did, but must not have...
the original ring HAD popped off of the poppet
What causes that oring to pop off so easily?
thanks btw

Lube on the oring, or the oring simply stretching a little.

well guys i appreciate all the help, but if you can take the time to type out "read the manual" you could have taken the time to type out a simple yes or no. i had already read the manual (twice before i got the gun, multiple times since), but for the hell of it i re-read it.
nowhere in the manual was that o-ring specifically mentioned. at one point in the manual you are instructed that:

doesnt say middle or not, i asked "what causes that o-ring to pop off so easily?"
you replied "lube on the oring"
which logically would lead one to believe that oring doesnt get lube, YET, the manual says lube the poppet o-ring (but not which one)
so i have you saying lube on that oring causes it, yet the manual LATER says lube all orings...
i mean its good to know manuals are perfect and everything, but sometimes a person knows more than a manual does. I was hoping to tap into some of that knowledge you have stored there, instead got sarcastic replies...
thanks anyway

they are telling you to lube the oring because the dow 55 lube will swell it allowing it to fit better and reducing the risk of it popping back off. there is also a chance that you have the wrong size oring on there also.

No.. The middle poppet oring is to remain dry as a bone, do not put any lube on it.
If you look at the manual you will see that the poppet in the picture is probably not the poppet you have in your marker. The brass poppet is a better version then what first came with them.

Ok still having issues
I took apart the solenoid, removed old lube and relubed VERY LIGHTLY with dow33
I made sure there was a 009 oring on the midsection of the brass poppet and left it dry
i checked out the lpr and hpr,
looks like the spring washers on the CP hpr were in wrong (got it like that, made sure to put em in exactly as i took the out the first time i replaced all orings) only after dismantling the second time did i notice that)
checked all barbs and hoses for breakage and or kinking of the lines
brand new energizer super ultra duper 9volt
lpr set to 75
CP hpr adjustment screw all the way IN (clockwise, per THE MANUAL)
as i let out the hpr the solenoid will start to gurgle, a very very small even high pitched gurgle that almost sound electronic. once i have it out enough the leak is more of a hiss, only audible with the gun up to your ear unless theres not alot of background noise.
also, the lpr gauge moves when i adjust the hpr, is that normal?
thanks again guys, i just want to fire this gun before the year is up lol

Solenoid problems
Check the manual for the max amount of Psi allowed in the Lpr..Because some people crank up the reg(hpr) and not watch the lpr's gauge causing too much pressure thru the lpr which causes o-rings to break and solenoid manifolds to blow and cause leaks. Was the lpr gauge spun when you first got it and you had to replace it?

No as far as I know the lpr gauge is fine...
I thought i had that poppet blast fixed but it came off on me again, so i superglued that oring down lightly, waited for the glue to dry and now it cycles and fires flawlessly, except i still get that hiss from the solenoid
If i adjust the lpr or hpr it will increase or decrease in volume as i increase or decrease pressure

That's what it sounds like to me, either the barb or hose must be leaking

If its doing it even with no board or batt, that would isolate it to the front block or the front of the solenoid right?
Is the soapy spray method safe on the hose/barbs/solenoid area? Obviously I'd take the board and battery out
