If you were looking at an etek, a better option (imo) would be to look at a used 07/08 ego. If looking to buy new, I'd say axe.

I think the loud part is true of the 07/08 egos too... really until the ego 10 they're unbearably loud for me which is why I prefer timmys. If you want a great stacked tube poppet for reasonably cheap I'd go for a vice or 07 cyborg.

Axe..... Hated the clack clack clack of the ETEK shooting. Many say it quiets down when broken in. I bought a well used one and it was still loud as hell. Dumped it in a week. Still have an Axe though.
