Clothes you wear

I'm sure there is a thread like this or exactly this but I was hoping for better answers.

I play rec ball and plan to eventually play in college but in the mean time I play rec ball with friends. I just bought a couple jerseys they're so comfortable I love them. What do you wear when you guys play? I can't see myself but do you consider it overkill to wear a jersey to rec ball?

Don't worry about it. If it's comfortable and you like the looks of it.... go for it. It's yours and your play time.
People won't really mind it. If anything, many of the recballers who don't know you may be a bit intimidated at first.

The only problems are when people who wear these jerseys are douchebags and act like they are pro level when they just camp out and have their guns on auto

Wear whatever you are comfortable in. Your playing Rex ball to enjoy your day so why constrain yourself by wearing uncomfortable clothes?

I Switched to a pair of paintball pants (DBD) two years ago now and can't believe how I used to play in BDUs. But that's just me. I wear a thin jersey and no pads. Again, that's just how I am comfortable.

I wear realtree hunting gear, my wife got it for my when I started playing paintball years ago (from bass pro) I still wear it everytime I play. Very comfy, and lots of pockets for my stuff.

I only wore a sponsored jersey when I played a tournament. Recball I wear a t-shirt and old paintball 99 dye pants [I think they look cooler than the newer ones]. I almost feel like sending it in to get the hole patched up. I had the JT national paintball league t-shirt, but I had to stop wearing it because it started to have so much holes in it, that it would probably fall apart on the field. So I only wear it underneath the jersey when I play tournaments. The idea is to look as worn down and rugged as possible. Like just coming out of many wars. Like what my clothes and body armor looked when I came back from Iraq. No matter how many times I washed these clothes, I couldn't remove the faded stain from the desert sands.

I wear all black, but ends up looking more like a gray.

For rec airball, I have a cheap jersey that I wear cause I absolutely love the elbow pads on them. They make dolphin diving so much easier. Then I just wear some sweatpants.

For woodsball, I wear some BDU pants and an AC/DC t-shirt. I like how big the pockets are on my BDU's cause I can fit a couple 50-round pods in them. They're also great for protecting yourself against rocks and minor scrapes and bruises.

You air up your marker, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed that test, that your girlfriend broke up with you, or that you got a ticket on the way there... your world is right for the next couple hours,... this is your heaven on earth.. live it.. love it.. play it.. Paintball.

98% percent of ballers wipe, if your part of the 2% that has some sense of honor add this to your sig

I wear the Bt camo that has padding in them and I like it, But I also know people who just wear jeans and a camo shirt.....they do fine. I just think whatever you like and play well with use it.

Overkill to wear a jersey to recball???

No way thats insane.

I like the way jerseys look but the reason I got a Jersey and actual paintball pants was for the comfort. Slide into a bunker and rip your jeans and skin your knee up a few times and you really appreciate them. The jersey I like because it breathes great but still offers arm protection and elbow padding. If it was cheaper to get good elbow and knee pads then I might go that way but you can get a jersey and pants on clearance for $60 and sometimes cheaper. I am never going to buy a ton of padding but I like to protect my knees and elbows when I got to get low.

I dont think Jerseys help your play but I think knee pads and elbow pad do because you will be more aggressive when you move because you wont need to protect your knees and elbows. And for the price you could buy good pads you can get a clearance Jersey and pants that will keep you from tearing up good clothes in the process.

If anybody gives you a hard time explain that to them.

As far as woodsball I like camo. I have a pair of knee pads I can wear under my camo pants but eventually I may get a pair of BT camo pants or something similar. I dont think padding matters as much in woodsball because typically the ground is soft, at least here it is, and camo can help sometimes. But if I didnt have camo I would be wearing my jersey and paintball pants.

I stick with the same attire no matter what I am playing. A good jersey and a solid pair of pants.
