December 2 SCENARIO EVENT @ HPP

Operation: Snow Avalanche


Briefing:
U.S. Forces:
Several months ago U.S. Army Pvt. Ryan was captured while transporting a cellular device of vital importance. He was captured by a militia group of guerrilla war fighters who, to say the least, arenít a fan of the way we do things. Since September negotiations have broken down. A failed attempt to rescue him has escalated the situation and now the enemy has threatened execution if Allied forces do not leave the region. U.S. forces have set up a Forward Operating Base (F.O.B.) just east of the dried up creek bed. It is imperative that this base remains operational. Although most supplies to the base come by transport, the main water source for the F.O.B. comes from the irrigation system connected to a second creek to the east. The enemy wants us gone so they are likely to sabotage this system.
We are going up against an extremely hostile force so expect a heavy resistance. They occupy an abandoned castle where intelligence suggests Pvt. Ryan is being held captive. To make matters worse, the latest satellite photos show that the enemy has stockpiled a collection of heavy weapons southeast of the castle.
Your mission is as follows:
1) Find and rescue Pvt. Ryan and recover the cellular device. Bring him and the device to the extraction point for emergency evac.
2) Find and destroy the weapon stockpile.
3) Protect the irrigation system.
4) Protect any assets on base.

Points:
U.S. Forces:
250 pts Pvt. Ryan Rescue Major
150 pts Destroy Weapons Cache Major
50 pts ea. (150 total) Protect Ammo Dumps Major
50 pts Protect Irrigation System Minor
50 pts Recover Cellular Device Minor

Neutral Points:
1 pt/min (300 possible/flag) Flag Domination Major
15 pts ea. (60 total) Gold Found Minor


Eliminations: Direct hits that BREAK is an elimination. If you're carrying something and itís hit, you're eliminated. Gun hits count. When you are eliminated, yell "Hit" and raise your marker over your head. DEAD MEN DONíT TALK! To renter the game as a live player you MUST go to your insertion point. You CANNOT enter the field from any other point. Reinsertions will be every 5 minutes (i.e. 12:05, 12:10, etc.).
Medics: Able to heal players on the field. If player is hit and calls for the medic, the player must NOT move or shoot. The medic must reach the player within ONE MINUTE and wipe the paint from the player. At this point, the player is again a live player and can resume play. HEAD SHOTS and TORSO HITS are NOT able to be healed! A head shot or torso hit means you're eliminated. Medics CANNOT heal his/her own hits.
Ordinance: Any speck of paint from grenades or mines is an elimination. Medics CANNOT heal these types of eliminations. Once smoke bombs are thrown they CANNOT be picked up.
Specifics: If you are hit while carrying the dummy, you must drop dummy immediately. Any player can carry the dummy. To destroy an objective, a player must plant provided charge in the designated area. Any player can carry/plant the charge but a player CANNOT pass charge to another player after being eliminated. Any gold bars recovered are to be brought to your insertion point. Once a player has possession of a gold bar, he/she can maintain control of it even after being eliminated. Team colors and special role colors MUST be worn at ALL TIMES. Boundaries are marked by yellow flagging tape. If you go outside the boundaries during play, you are ELIMINATED.

For too long now U.S. forces have continued to occupy this region. Despite the capture of one of their soldiers and threats to his life, they show no sign of complying. This is our backyard and the U.S. has overstayed their welcome. Since September fighting has taken a halt and we have taken refuge inside an old castle. With the help of some common enemies of the U.S. we have collected several surface-to-air missiles. They are currently stashed to the southeast of the castle. Since most supplies are delivered to the base by planes, these weapons will play a key role in driving the U.S. forces from the region. The U.S. has also set up an irrigation system connected to the same creek that runs alongside the castle. Destroying this supply element will soon leave the men on the base underpowered.
The U.S. has been persistent in occupying this area so they are not about to leave without a fight. Expect heavy resistance. They have established a base to our southwest and are harboring major supply depots.
Your mission is as follows:
1) Destroy the supply depots on the U.S. base.
2) Cripple the irrigation system alongside the creek.
3) Protect the heavy weapons cache.
4) Maintain custody of the prisoner and the cellular device.
