I've only been able to put about 2 cases through mine so far, apart from all the dry firing to break it in, and it still seems to soak up the lube and get dry if I'm not proactive with the lube when I play. It should get to a saturation point eventually, just gotta keep playing. I've been using all stock o-rings, even the ones on the bolt guide, since they've seemed to have the best fit for me.

Then we would have waited even longer. Both of my bolts needed very little break in, maybe a case or case in a half. Maybe I just got lucky

I've put like 15-20 tanks of air through it before I played with it. Bolt sail is the big issue I think. Too tight of a fit

The bolt sail oring groove on the Eigenbolt is exactly the same as the stock. If the bolt sail oring is tight, you should do some proper oring fitting.

I know the problem is I've spent about $80 in orings. Different sizes, materials etc. including metrics. Silicone, hbnr, buna. I am almost thinking I need to use 15s. It's the one size I don't have.

No luck on my end. When I first got my eigen bolt i used a microfiber cloth and some Sp sleek and hand polished the bolt, hand fit the orings for a nice fit. I shot maybe 2 hoppers adjusting dwell and input pressure. Got it all figured out shooting decent and put it away.

After that i shot a hopper full of reballs just goofing around. I then had company over and let them shoot a hopper with my shocker again just goofing around. well about half way through the hopper i could hear it developing a leak. I then stopped and decided to see what was going on.

Starting taking everything apart then noticed this on the bolt guide. The bolt guide o-ring supplied with the eigen have swollen and one actually has broke.
So far I'm not very impressed overall. I guess now i will wait for someone to find the magic o-ring for the bolt guide.

buna 12/70. They fit decently, and don't swell like the red silicon ones. The new size of the ring will be found soon hopefully.

the bolt sail is still a 16/70 with proper fitting. shouldn't be different than the stock bolt in terms of fitting, as the sleeve and sail interaction are going to be the same as with stock. the eigenbolt issues are centered on the guide orings.

This^. And my red guide o-rings did the same thing. The lube or pressure swells them.

are the green clear ones that SP put on the stock bolt guides HBNR? and is HBNR "High Buna Nitrile? for whatever reason, the green SP 12/70's would cause my bolt to make a honking sound on air up only. I swapped the green ones out for buna and it hasn't happened since.

I think it's hydrogenated-something.

I ordered some more orings for a luxe I just got. Gonna try some polyurethane 12s see if any difference. So far best luck with buna 12 for me. Just tight fitting ones.

Need to get rid of my 2nd eigen bolt. Haven't even used it but i bought the luxe lol so don't need it.

Mine swelled and did the same........ Put the stock clear orings off of my other sft bolt guide and lubed the piss out of it and it shoots fine now just have to lube the hell out of it about every 500 shots or it sticks and is dry as a bone

Good info folks. Have only shot less than 100 shots with my eigen...seems to work fine but until I've chronoed and played with it I still can't say much about it yet.

Finally got get some paint through my Eigen last week... Please note that I didn't do anything to break in the eigen... Just threw it in there with some new Orings...

Input Pressure: 200 - set to an average of 270 FPS.
Dwell: 12

Consistency was all over the place... swings of 15 FPS were common. Usually get +/- 3 with my stock HE.

This got better through out the day. I relubed every 4 or 5 pods... Each time I relubed I had to lower my input pressure. I shot about a case and a half and at the end of the day...

Input pressure: 170 at 280FPS
Dwell: 12
Consistency: +/- 7 fps... with an occasional 15fps swing.

Didn't do any efficiency testing since everything needs to be broken in.

Over all I'm happy with the first day. Figure it'll get better with more break-in or doing some oring matching. I'll report back after I get about 3-4 more cases through.
