Got my 2 replacement bolts the other day and finally got to put them in my guns a couple nights ago. The first one I had nor trouble with and didn't even really need to change any o-rings in the fun. I changed a couple anyway for a little better fit but didn't have to. The second bolt was a different story. The od of it was fine. I had to change my inner sleeve o-ring but that was the only one I really had to change from the od. The o-rings on the guide were a different story. I had no problems at all with the bolts id on the first bolt. On the second bolt however I went through about 30 o-rings and finally just had to settle for the best ones I had but they didn't even fit great. And yes I did try to kinda break in the bolt by hand ahead of time, before I put them in the guns. So in short, first bolt is awesome, second bolt to be determined. Lol

Did you try using the silicone ones lurker sent? I had a terrible time with my buns orings on the guide. But the second I put the softer silicone ones on, it slid much much smoother.

Im in the same boat right now with 2 other peoples eigens. Your gonna need to use a metric size oring on the guide 9.6mm x 1.5mm is whats working best so far but you may need to swell them a little with dow 55 or put a couple wraps of teflon tape inside the oring groove to get a good seal out of it.

Tried those too. They did seem smoother but still pretty tight.

Finally got mine installed and I had to change the guide orings and the rest fits perfect. Shot it at practice and got 9 pods out of the box no break in time except for oring fitting and lubeing off of a 68/45k. At 8ms dwell 150psi and it shooting 290's in 40 degree weather (paint was under bored by one size).

^ That's pretty darn good efficiency. I wonder how that will change when it gets broken in more.
Is that a significant improvement from its pre-EB setup?

I got very similar results today from my bolt. 9 pods input 160 dwell 10ms. 270-280FPS. ROF capped at 15, good bore match.

It's nice to know that the performance improvements haven't been isolated cases. Another benefit of the EB I've noticed is increased reliability. The bolt I installed in my buddy's SFT is a McFreakin'™ beast. He brought out his big ol' Ninja 90/4500 tank out to the field this past weekend to break the o-rings in a little. He dry fired it through three 4K fills (~ 5 to 6K cycles). His gun is bone stock except for an HE can. It was like 36°F outside and he shot that thing until the reg and and barrel iced over. It fired the whole time and he only had 2 minor instances of bolt stick. I suppose the Pooty Magical Lube I used also helped with that. The EB is nothing short of bad ***.
I've been nagging Pooty to have NDZ make some more LP bolt guides. He thinks he can sweet talk 'em into making more. I bet that bolt guide teamed up with an EB could produce some incredible results.

I have tried a bunch of different orings so far. Bolt guide, silicone, hbnr, buna size 11,12, 1.6x9.5. So far best is tight silicone 12s. Bolt I have tried some metrics, 16s and 17s. 17s are way too loose. The 16s are still a tight fit.... Not sure what's up... 17 hbnr for can and sleeve work great. Have not done a full efficiency test still trying to figure out the combo I need to use. My 2nd bolt just showed p so I may try that one see if the fit is different....

just tested my other eigen, dropped in with zero changes to settings oring ect. and cycled like a champ. tomorrow I will try and crono it and put a pod through to see what kind of numbers it puts up, pre break in.

Hey guys used the eigen this weekend. Worked great but then with no changes it got real sluggish and shot like crap. Talking less than 1k rds. Took it off the field rely bed lot sail and bolt guide orings and shot awesome again. Had to do that 4 times throughout the day. What would be the reason for so much deluge with so little shooting?
I was using the silicone orings but they seemed to swell big time. Put regular buna 12s and shot a lot better that way. Still think the lot sail is too tight... What size are you guys using?
I am thinking of opening my new bolt and seeing if the tolerances are different...

it shot sluggishly because 1, its still being broken in. eventually, if you have not yet seen any black sludge looking gunk on your bolt, you will a few times until it is fully broken in. And 2, you were correct about the red silicone rings swelling. Buna 12's work, as you discovered, but the best fitting o-ring is going to be some metric variant that is an off the wall size. Several members are working on that now, and you can see that discussion a page or two back in this thread.
your doing everything right, no worries just keep on shooting with it.
