Okay, I tried lowering my dwell, but I don't get complete shots every time at any dwell under 15ms. I have about 2 bottles through the bolt so far.

i think that ring is natural ano wear since its a colored part, and since its colored that could explain why that mark doesn't appear on one that's silver. I say that because the non HE can that I'm using is silver and I don't see that ring on mine. That's just my thought on this, and I may be wrong.

Okay, tried that, and still can't cycle consistently until 15ms. I may need to break in the bolt more.

EDIT: I'm also still getting the black oxide on my bolt, so it's not fully broke-in.

From my experience, you just started the break-in. 15 ms in the break-in is a lot lower than mine, the first time I ran it I had to bump all the way up to 20+, and after each case shot thru it I could lower it more and more. Until now I'm running 12-14ms depending on how cold the field is and 140 psi. I'm sure I could lower the dwell more and up the psi but I can't get past how smooth it shoots at that low of a pressure.

Spring seems fine, and all the orings are loose, but the bolt guide orings are a tight. I'm using the orange ones that came with the bolt.

Yeah, that's how it seems with me, too.

My shocker shoots great at 10ms and 160 psi. I'll get numbers this Sunday. I'm also running a polished bolt sleeve that Pooty did for me a couple of years ago. Red bolt guide o-rings on a NDZ Low pressure bolt guide. Hand fitted bolt sail and bolt sleeve o-rings. I use Hater green lube mixed with gun oil to thin it down just a tad..... Gun has a very nice "pop" to the shot.

So I'm at 170 psi at 9 ms but I'm getting wild inconsistancies.

after a few shots it'll start to even out but the first shot is always low, barely even cycling, then it shoots high, then low, then evens out. I'm shooting really big reballs with a 693 insert.

I have found a lube that doesn't gunk up or break down and turn black like others. Vitamin G from Exalt. The stuff is legit I have used Alot of stuff but this has been the best so far. It's worth the check out. ( not advertising for Exalts lube it just seems to work best for my Shockers (nxt, sft, and 4 shoebox). I'm waiting on my bolt to get here so I can test the vitamin G out on it but with a non sprung HE everything in 40deg temps has no fsdo and is pretty consistant sooo just my 2 cents

I'd start with a dwell at 12. Also, bump up your FSDO setting on your board. You'll need a few more cases of paint through you shocker to let everything settle in. Your Deffinately on the right track! Stick with it.

I've always had to break in certain new o-rings.. the eigenbolt break-in is more about saturation of the bolt with lubricant, correct?

so quick question...my bolt ate up the bolt guide orings...whats the size on them They seemed smaller than stock? also how many cases have you guys shot to get the bolt really broken in? I've dryfired 2 tanks worth and played today with it but with a dwell of 12ms..(im in the cold midwest) my shocker seemed to still feel like it wasnt set up right no matter the input pressure. I had to even put on my abs otherwise i was still getting fsdo. granted the temp in the indoor field was probably 50-60 degrees at best

2 tanks isn't enough to completely break it in.

Every bolt is gonna be different but 10 cases is a pretty comon break in period for any PB gun

I think it has more to do with there being some extra coating on the bolt that kinda needs taken off or smoothed out. I know lurker said he had to hand sand the bolts before he shipped them out.

Drop off could be the result of the sludge. Are you still getting sludge? Could also be lube coming off or a weak battery. I just got my 2 replacent bolts in and I really like the white coating. One of them was much tighter id than the other but other than that they seem good. I'm going through the break in process now. I am trying to do mine by hand cuz I don't have ready access to air. Can't wait to try them out.
