why is tree trunk so expensive?

I saw a tree trunk sandana for 500$, so I thought it was a joke, so didn't think about it much. Then I saw one for 360$. Why so expensive? Please enlighten me.

Sandana originally made the "treetrunk" pattern in the 1990s. They didn't make any more after that, and are now considered to be one of the most desirable pieces of headgame.

Basically; they're rare, and people want them. Plus they look sick. If there's a limited number of something desirable, sellers can ask for however much they want.
