SFT worth purchasing?
I'm looking to get back into the game after the usual break everyone takes. For some reason, I've got the urge to get a Shocker after running an Ego 2 years ago. I've never owned one but have heard great things about the durability and how well they shoot.
After researching and looking at multiple guns, I notice that the SFT is much cheaper than the nxt. Finally realized that the SFT no longer has parts being made for it. I'm assuming no more barrels or anything?? Just kinda curious of whether or not the SFT is worth it in the long run or should I just spend the extra dime and get a nxt?? Opinions WANTED!

Plenty of parts to come by in the B/S/T
Played with my SFT this weekend. It's pretty 1 of 1 but man it's smooth.

Nxt are to sfts what axes are to minis. Essentially the same but the nxt is bigger with some nice updates

NXTs are basically SFTs with all the aftermarket parts people bought for SFTs. However, many SFTs that you'll find in the BST will probably already have been upgraded to an HE Engine or better by now anyways.

I prefer SFT bodies to NXT. I like NXT frames better. Internals are the same and barrels are not difficult to come by.
You can't really go wrong with either one.

Definitely going with an SFT then. When you all speak of the engine, what do you mean? Never owned a shocker or even been around many for that matter. Ego background with cockers before them.

Own or build one of each and find out for yourself! Both are great guns in my opinion

If ur going to buy nxt or sft buy a private label one if possible...much cooler! Dynasty, russian legion, dark, octane, shocktech, etc etc
Barrels: standard all american, freak with inserts, or (my fav) dye ultralite

Labels are nice, but more expensive also. Between the boat, car, and our first child that was born last Friday morning, a little mill work on the body doesn't mean that much to me..

sft barrel threads are "shocker" threaded and nxt threads are nxt/ion/impulse so yes they are different

It should also be noted that a good amount of the private label shockers have autococker threaded barrels.

If that was to Kookie's response, you are wrong. NXT has different threads than SFT, perhaps PL shockers have a different/non-different threads but an NXT has it's own threads.

Get the NXT
IMO, Get an NXT. Only mods you really need are:
-Cam lock feed neck
-better asa
-freak barrel system
Most NXT's out there already have these updates and will run about $200

SFT with NXT internals and frame.
Or just pick the body style that you prefer and get that one.
