I have an Empire Apex 2 barrel. The tip and barrel are one piece.
The tip is a gasket that adjusts 5 clicks to have no spin up to a "curve" ball. The directional gasket made of a "no stick" surface that does direct but not break the paintball.
It's a way to shoot a curve at a target. Not the most accurate, but it's an improvement over the Apex 1. Good gimmic but it's labor intensive in chainging direction, meaning you have to put your hand on the barrel and twist it to get the pitch you want.
It's a one piece, and even the Freak Apex is a two piece barrel to work with a freak Apex back with a freak apex front. It's better to have this as a backup IMO.
