Deadlywind Fibur information?

I'm looking to pick up a barrel using some gift cards I got for Christmas and I am looking athttp://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009NK...=AOQ0UIXWN0N1Z this barrel, and have 2 questions about this.

First, I need to purchase a couple of inserts to go with this barrel, like thishttp://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0063DEC8O?dpm=1&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&ref_=ox_sc_act_ti tle_5 correct?

Second, why is it not recommended to use swabs on these barrels? I assume a squeegee would be the only option for cleaning it in that case.

I work at Deadlywind, so I might be able to help some.
The Fiburs will work with any of the Smart Parts, GoG, and Empire Super Freak inserts, so yes the one(s) in your link will work fine.

Fibur barrels you actually *can* swab, squeegee, pull-through, etc. When cleaning, you can treat it like you would an aluminum barrel and you will not damage it nor void the warranty.

Merry Christmas!

The question is more "do I need a insert for that barrel that I linked, or is that an optional addition?"

The other question was what is the proper procedure for cleaning one of these, a lot of things *can* be done, but in a special way so as to get the most mileage out of the product.

Ah, ok. You must use an insert sleeve with the Fibur. Not optional.

And as far as cleaning it, avoid dragging dirt/sand through it (or any other rough abrasive stuff). If you take a core sample with it, flush it out with water first kinda thing before pulling a swab through it. When you're cleaning your gear after playing, any kind of mild soap and water cleaning is fine.

Hope this clears it up some.
