So, I was thinking about the ultimate college football team.
Head coach
Off. Coordinator
Def. Coordinator
Location
Stadium
University/Academics
Boosters
Mascot
Head coach: bill belichick. His NFL record is pretty amazing- probably the best football coach in the game today, at any level.
Offensive Coordinator: chip Kelly. As an offensive coordinator for Oregon, he took a mediocre team and made them competitive. As a head coach he continued that.
Defensive Coordinator: Nick Saban. Alabama's defense is always ridiculous.
Location: UCLA's location. I would say the sunny Southern California lifestyle is a major attraction for new recruits, and SoCal has plenty of good football players.
Stadium: neyland. Place just looks amazing. I would have said Autzen for the noise, but it only holds 54k.
University/Academics: Stanford, due to the prestige of their academic achievements. They're a "west coast ivy", as it were.
Boosters: Nike. Oregon has arguably the nicest facilities in the nation, all because of Nike. They also get the first crack at new Nike gear, before its released.
Mascot: Seminoles. Throwing a spear into the ground beats the Trojan stabbing it.

I probably should have included pro stadiums... Then it'd be a three-way tie between the cowboys stadium, Seahawks stadium, and Arizona Cardinals stadium. Cowboys because of the epic ness of it, Seahawks for the noise (loudest in the pros), and Arizona due to the amazing tailgating and architecture and everything.

I want to apologize to Kolder for being an asshat to him earlier.
I understand why he is fed up with the thread and it was immature to retaliate back when we really were breaking the rules.

I'd choose stadium as death valley and the nicktator as head coach. Obviously I love Belichick, but he has never coached in college, so who knows if he would be good at it.

Bellichek would need a hell of a staff to recruit for him. I just don't see him as the type to excel at that.
Course he could probably be really bad at it like Saban and pull recruits on his name alone.

If Saban and Chip could co-coach, or stay out of each other's hair in regards to offense/defense, I think that'd be pretty cool. They're crazy different in some areas, and very similar in many philosophies. One is offense, one is defense, and I think they'd need someone in the middle to ensure they don't step on each other's toes.

Well if you want a head coach just to keep them apart, I am not sure Bill is the guy. He is just as controlling as anyone else out there. I would think a great defensive minded coach would recognize the brilliance of a great offensive coach and vise versa and they would each do their own thing.
Also some new Nikes are nice and all, but stacks of cash and free cars take the cake.

Notre Dame to B1G would be epic; hopefully it happens in the next 2 years. EVERYONE here wants it to happen.

PSU is actually helping to protect the majority of the Big 10 outside of tOSU and UM.
The Big 10 would be the ideal fit for Notre Dame. They would have to accept that ND is staying independent in football though, which I think they could do. Hell, we already play 3 Big 10 games a year, might as well make it 5. I don't know how final this deal is with the ACC though, and if it is final that $50 million exit fee would be a *****.

This. Also, if basketball meant anything at all we wouldn't have seen the Big East ripped to shreds the past couple years. They were dominating college basketball but their top schools know it's about football and jumped at the chance to go to a better football conference.
