Now that I am playing with more player's that have their own markers I am noticing that my ETek is a lot louder then other markers. When playing on small fields it gives your location away by sound some times before they see you.

This is not a huge issue for me. If I can make it a more quite it would be nice. I have done some reading and I see some posts say to use the Hush or Cure bolt. When I look at product reviews many say that they did not do much in changing the noise.

Is the sound level of the Etek something that can not be changed that much?

Unfortunately eteks and egos are loud. You can get the hush bolt...I had one and all it did was change the loud crack sound to a bup sound. Not worth the 50 IMHO. You can also look at getting a barrel with more porting, dye ul, deadly wind carbon fiber, freak with an all American tip...etc. after the maker is broken in you can also dwell then the marker but that will give you a bit better efficiency with a marginal change in sound.

Ok thanks. Good to know. Once I get down this marker better I will start tweaking with more advance settings. Right now I have only done a few cases through it.

with sound? nope, just break in the gun and it will be slightly quieter

I have a kush bolt i can sell you hrlped my sound signature a little but best parts were efficiency and tighter groups pm me if interested

i bought the Cure 4. and its still loud as hell. probably almost the same as Stock bolt. its better save money getting other stuffs rather the Cure4

The Cure4 isn't advertised to make it any quieter so you shouldn't expect it to. It's to help shoot brittle paint.

To the OP, use a smaller bore barrel with more porting. That should help.
