Just read through the rules for the first time since they were first announced a few years ago - and wow, are they better or what. It seems like pretty much every main bit of feedback the players gave at the time has been taken on board! Things like the 11th man, rocket launchers etc..

So that's awesome to see. I can't find anywhere on the website that defines the differences between different divisions though so that's a little odd, unless there are no longer any rules besides ROF when it comes to marker types and hoppers/carry limits? Also can't find anything about snipers, is that still a thing?

Yes, there is still the Sniper position as well as the rocket launcher. These were missed when the new rules were put out. The rocket launcher is allowed 3 rockets per 10 minute period.

As for the hopper rules. Those have been eliminated since the ROF is capped at 10bps.

Tom, will be tweaking the new rules shortly to fix the mistakes as some things got missed when adapting the rules for the 5 man format.

To over simplify it.. Pump or Pistol = Sniper

That is basically it nothing other than that just the type of gun they have to use.. Puts that elite skill set out there, honestly a good sniper scares me more than most Heavy's.

No you don't have to but then your team only has 9 players.. the sniper is considered an "extra" man on the field.

Well it's worth having the Sniper on the field then if you have to play with 9 without one.
