your problem is that you took your camero to chevy instead of dodge

not sure why you'd do that

Theres usually some kind of levre to your left as your sitting in the driver seat you pull it up and it releases the hood then you need to go the the front of the car and find the thing that releases the hood and then pull it up and put a prop rod in if its a cheap car

Ah that clears it up. I've always wondered how it was done.

Yeah all cars have a hood release under the driver side dash. As for the check engine light all cars/trucks with OBD2 connectors (under your driver side dash) can have codes checked at auto zone. OBD2 started in 99 I believe... Now the diagnosis is different. Depending on the fault your local side shop can repair it but for major issues it MAY need to go to the dealer. I would be careful spraying stuff into your intake, you can possibly damage sensors when doing that. But hey if your lights off good work!

Also you can go on ebay and get a code scanner for OBD2 connector and check it yourself... A cheap one will run about $15

A cheap odb2 won't always get as in-depth as a nicer one. grab your laptop download a program and buy an odb2 cord off eBay for 15 20 bucks that plugs in through USB. Then you can really know what's up and if you flash or chip your car you can tweak it nicely
