People have had success with both. Only thought ill put out there a pro reg you can adjust the pressure for almost all markers. Slp may limit you in future gun purchases.

Yeah that's the big question. Will you be using this tank for other markers, or do you plan on keeping the GT for a good long time? I personally use SLP, but also have a regular Pro adjustable reg on my backup tank in case I ever need to use one of my other markers.

Slp dose work on other markers besides boblong and the clones. But as Mark stated if you plan on using other markers alot besides the clones, bob longs and Luxes. I would say go with adjustiable but the SLP is the best reg for the macdev line of products.

Why is that? So you can shoot the tank down too 300psi instead of the normal ninja pro of 450psi?

Get the adjustable Pro Reg. I saw Ray, from Ninja at Paintball Explosion last sunday and we talked briefly about pressure settings for the Clone. He recommended 550psi, which I already had it set to.
I've read that other people have their pressure lower, but my Clone did not like the slp at 450psi. Either way you'll have more versatility with the adjustable reg.

the clone commands no more than 150psi. it should run near 100 psi. an slp putting put 300psi will work fine.
bob longs and aliens also run on less than 250psi so an slp works. the only reason we used to use high pressure tanks was that at high rates of fire the tank would not be able to sustain its rated pressure.. the fix was to run them at 700+ psi and when the gun started ramping the tank would not be able to hold 700psi and maybe dropped to 500psi. you can emagine how this would be a problem if the tank is set to 300psi and dropped to 150 psi while you started ramping. luckily ninja has great regs and the pressure drop issue is no longer an issue.
lower tank output pressure means less work for the inline regutor. this will make the marker more consistent. also you can run the tank lower on air and get that extra pod. this is why bob long does his effiency tests with an slp, they work well and let you use more air.
sorry if my typig is messy, im on my phone.

I ran a Pro reg with all shims removed (450psi or so) and was running all stock settings other than having dwell at 11 (factory is 12). The factory settings on the GT's are very good and really don't need much, if any, tweaking.

We have 10 GTs on our D1 NPPL team.
We all run SLPs with Zero issues. All them with a Dwell of 10ms
And shoot perfecrly at 15bps.

The only difference between this 2 regs is better efficiency? (1 more pod or so)
or less quick, more quiet shot?

Not that it is slower its the same recharge rate, infact it has to be quicker to compensate for the lower pressure.
Here is a rule of thumb to remember on any marker when looking to buy a regulator.
You want the tank reg to have 200 psi over the operating pressure of the marker.
Example)
The SLP reg is 300psi
Adjustiable is 450-800 psi
GT runs at 100-105 psi at 280-285fps
Luxe runs at 190 psi at 280-285fps
Bob long G6 runs at 90-110 psi at 280-285 fps
Dye NT 130-145psi at 285 fps
So the regs that works on the Bob long and GT is the SLP
The Luxe and NT would be the 450 -550
Reason for running this type of pressure is your not putting as much tension against the HPR piston and spring that regulates the internal pressure. In return matching your pressures is just like fitting orings, paint to barrel match ect.
Doing these types of things gives you the best performance.

There's nothing wrong with the stock settings. I have my dwell bumped down to 11 but other than that everything is stock using my SLP reg.
