they work fine, however they are quite thin imo. they do have a benefit in being light though.

I like my turf soccer cleats. Track cleats are really a poor choice IMO because the turf or grass isn't like a track and the running we do is also very different. Soccer and football are Mich better choice IMO.

Are we talking legit track cleats? Most places will not let you play with them considering they use small metal spikes instead of larger plastic/rubber ones. You can hurt others, but most importantly in their mind, you will make swiss cheese out of any inflated bunkers.

Track shoes don't have spikes in the heel. They are great for getting up to speed but can slip out from under you when trying to stop (like running up to a mayan and what not) and they aren't designed for cornering.
Soccer cleats have good grip, but they don't have toe spikes. The lack of toe spikes can reduce your speed if you line up sprinter style. Soccer cleats are nice and light but don't have as much as much support as football shoes.
Most folks say football cleats are the best choice. They have toe spikes and offer a good balance of weight and support. Turf style is probably your best choice.
I've been using exalt cleats with the golf spikes and they given me great grip on all surfaces including grass and the slippery indoor I practice at. Those are another option as well.
Exalt or football are probably your best choices.

lacrosse cleats are also very good, they are similar to football cleats. The lacrosse turf type cleat looks really good to. They have a bunch of rubber 1/4"or so studs that stick off the bottom from the front to the back of the shoe.

I use to use Lax cleats up until they finally died. I just got exhault cleats and will be trying them out this weekend. I will let you know what I find out.
I am pretty picky with my cleats as I shattered my ankle when I was younger and had a few surgeries to fix it. So I am huge with needing support for my cleats. Football/lax cleats do a good job. Soccer cleats don't protect my ankle like I would want them to.
just my two cents.

Football cleats + sliding = a good way to get a torn acl/mcl
Baseball cleats are designed for sliding... turf cleats are fine too and so are soccer cleats.

Not good... no heel spikes for stopping or cornering.

i wear the exalt TRX cleats and have never had any issues with them but can be a little pricey. i have seen soo many different types of cleats on the field and it always comes down to personal preference.
and the first cleats exalt put out were like track cleats that didnt have any spikes on the heel and people still liked them.
