Flatline autococker
I was wondering if there is a way to modify a flatline barrel to fit an autococker or perhaps a how-to guide. I know that there was a flatline autococker, bit trying to fine one is very difficult. Any help?
Thanks

There are still a few hold-outs that swear by those things. Personally, I couldn't wait to get rid of the one I had on my A-5 back in the day...
Cockerfan, why not just get an Apex?

you could just buy an apex barrel if all your after is the extra distance, plus they offer some adjustment to the balls direction, and are easier on paint.

They are hidious, make an already heavy gun heavier, they are hidious, and they really do not do much.

I know it may seem strange, but I'm one of the few that really like the way it looks. I like the strange and not too common guns out there, and the looks that they get. I have thought of the apex barrel, and know what its capable of; however the look of the flatline autococker is really out there, hence its appeal to me.

Just buy a barrel adaptor, they sell them on ANS.

Do you thing the a-5 to autococker would work better due to the body on the autococker? (putting the adaptor on the body first obviously. )-I haven't bought a flatline yet, so I still have all options to consider.

This would not work as the A-5 flatline actually connects to the entire receiver. It is not a threaded connection. The A-5 has an internal piece that clips in the normal threading (notice the piece at the very front).

Yes. The flatlines were shoved in the breach and a clamp was attached from the lower tube to the 'barrel'

Is the same for the 98 custom as well? (I've never owned a tippmann nor a flatline so I do not know)

Yes. The 98 clamshell comes apart and clamps on the flat line.

You should see if perhaps a 98 flatline would be more appropriate.
It might take some machining, but there are all sorts of places that would be happy to have the business.

The now defunct Underground Mod Shop used to make a Model 98 Flatline for the A-5. If he's still doing custom work, he may be able to do the same for a 'cocker. Look for Flatlines_Up on McarterBrown.

i shot one way back. you do get more distance out of it. problem is with larger bore paint you will have a ton of barrel breaks in that barrel. with the apex the thing that sucks is if your paint is too small the apex wont do much.
blast from the past

also bring a spare gun because if the flateline doesnt like the paint you cant change out the barrel on these (i dont think they were AC threaded because of that adapter).
