I played today with it and I noticed that randomly my gun would not fire, but then another trigger pull would make it work perfectly. Happened every 15 shots or so. Not sure if its caused by the new poppet or something else, but it's the only thing that has changed since last time I played without issue.

Glad to hear that you guys are starting to receive the Springless Kits. We should have all of the registered markers taken care of before Christmas.

If it doesn't make even a puff sound when it doesn't fire, it will almost certainly be battery related. I take it that it was cold at the weekend? At anything close to freezing you really need a fresh, good quality battery, like a Duracell or ProCell. I wouldn't even try and use an Energizer.

That's probably the problem then, it was pretty chilly and I hadn't replaced the battery since I bought the marker (although I haven't played a ton with it so far). I'll test it out and see how it goes!

I noticed a little anomaly with mine. I wouldn't really call it a problem. I am in the habit of switching the gun off and installing the barrel bag. I don't always remember to turn the air off. If I did not turn the air off between games, the first shot the next game would be a litttle pfff sound and then work fine. However, when I did turn the air off between games, everything would work fine. I usually check to make sure the gun is working before the game starts so, this is not a problem. Just a little something I noticed.
I also noticed after playing with it a whole day, it is a little quieter and the sound of the gun is a little different.

As the insert in the Springless Firing Poppet has an o-ring on it, what you are noticing here is the cause of stiction (the o-ring relaxing when not in use) and takes a shot to free it up.

Thanks for the explanation! I really appreciate you guys making budget friendly guns. This gun is awesome and I have recommended it to several people who now own and love their own Etha! Thanks!

You might want to pull the poppet out, take out the silver piece in the back where the spring used to go, put some grease on the o-ring and inside the pocket that the silver part goes into, and try that again. That should get rid of the Pff sound on the first shot.
Merry Christmas!
Jack
