The Difference
OK so i tired to search before posting. I have been out of the game for a few years and i plan on getting back into it.
I have been thinking about buying one of the PMR's or PM7's..
PM7 ?
PMR ?
ok so im guessing the number 7 is the year the gun came out. and i guessing the PMR has different years like PMR12, PM PMR11,R10,ect.
Is there a major different between the PM7 and PMR(any year) ?
I think the PMR comes stock with a UL frame right ? for all years also ? ( 2010,2011,2012) ??
Any help would be much appreciated.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Also can i get a listing of the models in order ?
like ego5,ego6,ego7, But for the PM's and PMR's
Thanks

PM7 is a slightly cheaper version of a DM. Same style bolt, dual regulated. Didn't come with UL frame stock, had ribbon eyes, and required higher pressures, but very similar design.
PMR/PR/PRR is completely and totally different from the PM7. The PMR in 07 did NOT come with UL frame stock. I think they added that stock in 09. Maybe 08. I know it was at least an option in 08 to get it stock with UL, but I think you could still get it without also. It is an unbalanced design, single regulated. Not as efficient or as smooth as the PM/DM line. However, slightly easier to work on and to understand how they work.
PM5 > PM6 > PM7 > PM8 | discontinued.
2007 PMR (often called PMR7) through 2010 PMR. | discontinued
PR (really just the PMR with less features and cheaper parts) 2011 & 2012 (probably to be a 2013 but I haven't seen one yet, not that I'm looking either)
PRR (just a PMR with better solenoid) 2011 & 2012 (again, just like the PR)

^ What he said.
PM7 is a top of the line marker and probably one of the best deals you can find in the used market, add a UL frame and it's not far off from the newer DM models.
The PMR is more of a mid range marker, they still work very well, but were designed to be cheaper and don't shoot quite as nice as a PM/DM.

Or a PM8, and if you don't need an LPR try the refelx 12.
