The guy you bought it from probably pinched a broken shell between the bolt and body. Suspecting it was broken forever, he sold it off.
Air it up, hold down the trigger, and use a stick squeegie to push on the bolt face through the barrel threads.
Once you've got the shell unstuck, pull the bolt out and clean it all out.
