First a little bit of background:
Last year at the Michigan Monster Game a good friend
of ours was attending for the first time. He had a blast and really enjoyed himself. During the evening dinner he ordered a pink strawberry drink. All of us being paintballers we of course had to rib him a bit. Well the next day at the field a small Strawberry Shortcake doll was discovered on the dashboard of his car. Pictures were taken and uploaded to Facebook.
Lots of joking and having fun was had with things dieing down a bit until this late spring. It seems our friend made a comment about us giving up. The challenge was given! Through the efforts of Bartman, TargetIndy and myself we concocted the idea of a very special tank for him to "borrow" at this years MMG. It seems he didn't like the tank he has and asked to borrow one of ours. No problem... We contacted Chris at Crossfire and came up with a plan. Here's the result of our plan:
Crossfire made us a custom 1 of 1 68/4500 tank.
We covered the top of the tank with black gaffer's tape and put an old cover on it. Put an old nipple cover and thread saver on the Ninja reg and it was just an old tank ready to be loaned to him.
Just like at any field before you can get your tank filled they have to check the hydro. To do this you have to take off the cover.
In front of everyone.
While holding a Candy Pink Tank with Strawberry Shortcake on it he had the hydro checked. Yeah.
James, uh, I mean our friend, gets to keep the tank as proof of our stellar prank. Maybe one day he'll learn not to challenge us or maybe not? I mean c'mon, he does love Strawberry Shortcake!!
