Geo2 Solenoid Gasket Leak

I recently purchased a used Geo2 and it had a pretty noticeable leak. When I took the frame off the leak got a lot worse and I could see that the solenoid gasket blew out. I changed the gasket and it blew out again, after that I turned the reg down and the gasket hasn't blown out again but a leak is still present and you can see a pretty big gap between the body and the solenoid where the leak is at. Any recommendations before I send the marker to planet eclipse to have it looked at?

Best that I can tell. It only leaks from the back part of the solenoid. When degassed the solenoid looks flush to the body but when aired up there is a gap at the back of the solenoid causing a leak, a very small one but it is driving me crazy since I just purchased it. Is it possible that the solenoid housing is warped causing the leak?

I wonder if one or more of the orings on the spool pack or pilot valve are bad. That would be my best educated guess

I just checked the orings on the spool pack and the two orings closest to the front of the solenoid look like they have a small nick in them. Also when the solenoid is tightened to the body I can still jut barely see the gasket at the rear of the solenoid. Is it normal for the solenoid to not sit completely flush to the body?

I might have to say that either the gasket isn't seating right or it's bad. Unless thats normal, but i don't think it is

I'm really starting to think that the solenoid housing is warped. While its not the most accurate way to check I tightened the solenoid to the body without the gasket and the gap was still there, I also placed the solenoid on my cellphone screen(flattest surface I got) and I could still see the same gap in the same spot. Now I could be way off, so I'm just curious if anyone else has had issues due to the solenoid housing?

Chuckles, since you seem to be the only one willing to help, do you mind getting a picture of the solenoid to body fit while it is gassed up? I purchased a new solenoid housing and there is not immediate leak like I was getting with the original housing, but there is still a small gap when aired up but looks to sit more flush when degassed.

That's alright, it did not. I tried both gaskets and still have a gap, a smaller one though and the leak seems to have stoped or I just can't hear it either way its an improvement. I also changed the regulator piston oring and the reg seat incase it was over pressuring but I don't think that did much. How tight are your solenoid screws? Do they lossen easily gripping the short end of the L key or do have to use the long end to break them?

I have them about as tight as I can gripping the short end of the L key I just don't want to over tighten them and make things worse. Right now I have it aired up while I'm work, when I get home ill be able to see if it still has a leak that I can't hear or if it will blow the gasket again. If it does then I guess ill just send it to planet eclipse and see if the person who sold it to me will reimburse me or at least cover partof it.

Dont over tighten it, screw might snap in the hole and you'll have a bigger problem. I'm gonna say that you have a bad gasket. Unless, the body is warped, but i highly doubt it

If you over tighten the noid you could crack the housing and that would not be good

I just got home from work and after bout 13 hours the marker leaked 2-300 psi so it's a pretty small leak but it's still bugging me. I ordered new solenoid gaskets and hopefully that will stop the leak completely.
